Before you start doing anything around the deck area, remove the spark plug.
Depending on the model, it could be riveted or welded on. If you can't locate any bolts or screws it may not be able to be removed.

Why does fuse on mower deck blow after in use for a short time

Motor is drawing excessive current. Make sure that there is no debris or garbage binding the mechanism. Disconnect motor from blade assembly - the latter should turn nice and freely.

Connect ammeter and see what the draw is. Compare to specs under load for correlation.

Craftsman Lawn tractor 20 hp twin clynder briggs with a 42 inch deck I need a model number the plate is unreadable

Maybe this will help. The mower deck part # 165892. Mower Deck Assembly 42" I not sure of the model # . I also don't know your tractor's model # either. This part # for the 42" mower deck,is installed on a 18.5 HP Craftsman Lawn Tractor. I believe there isn't any difference between a model !8.5 HP and a model 20.0 HP, tractor when it comes to a mower deck. B.Locke

How o you change the lift assembly on a craftsman ZTS 7500 mower ?

Should be relatively simple. There are 4-5 cotter pins that connect the mowing deck to the bottom of the mower. Pull the pins, push the metal rods out, and remove the deck!

How do you remove a center pulley assembly from Kubota deck RCK54-24G?

Removing the center pulley assembly from a Kubota deck RCK54-24G will require some specific steps, and tools, as well as some knowledge of mechanical systems. Here are some steps you can follow:
  1. Park the machine on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  2. Remove the belt cover by removing the fasteners or clips that hold it in place.
  3. Remove the belt by releasing the tension on the idler pulley and slipping it off the pulleys.
  4. Use a socket or wrench to remove the center pulley nut and washer.
  5. Use a puller or gear puller to remove the center pulley from the shaft.
  6. Clean the pulley assembly, shaft, and deck.
  7. If the pulley is damaged, it should be replaced.
  8. Reinstall the pulley assembly in the reverse order of removal.
  9. Tighten the center pulley nut to the specified torque.
  10. Check the belt alignment and adjust it if necessary.
It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and use the right tools and equipment when working on the machine. If you are not familiar with the mechanical systems, it's best to take the machine to a qualified Kubota repair service center, they will be able to diagnose and fix the issue.

DO NOT KNOW HOW TO REPLACE THE BELT TO THE DECK MOWER

Me to ... you want help but you don't give any description of the mower! There must be a way to remove it ... think about this ... someone put it on! so it has to come off! You may have to disconnect part of the deck, I don't know ... You may have to cut the old one off and pry the new one on (on cheaper models) I don't know, you will not tell me what we are working on. It SHOULD be reasonably easy - some company made them by mass production - they wouldn't make it hard for them to assemble (unless it is a really cheap one).

I suggest you get on the ground and study the deck ... look for levers or tension pulleys. Make sure the mower is OFF, OF COURSE. ALSO, disconnect the SPARK plug as turning the belt COULD START THE MOTOR!!!!!!! I don't know what this machine is so I am stressing the safety aspect of what you are about to do!!!!!!!!!

If you will post additional information on this machine, I may be able to offer more suggestions.

Thank you for using FixYa.com

There is a big, wrap-around lifting bar in the front of my Husky used to raise the engine assembly off the mowing deck but I can't figure out how to free the engine assembly so I can pivot it up to expose...

most rideons have the deck assembly able to be removed without too much work.usually release any spring tension, then spring clips holding the arms on,then usually you can disconnect the belts and slide the whole deck out sideways, from under the rider.
