I have the acer w3 tablet . 2 of them actually. I read somewhere not to install the 8.1. I did on one of them and i get more. But the battery wont charge. It only work with cord. Not sure if related. The other works fine but most of the apps. I cant install or only half way work....what should i do

Question 1: Will the tablet operate on the docking station (or power cord) without the battery in place?

If not, the power circuit on the tablet motherboard is broken.

Question 2: If you plug in the power cord into the tablet, is the connection "loose"?
Check the other tablet to see if it is the same loosness at the tablet power connector.

If it is loose, the power receptical in the tablet can be soldered back onto the motherboard.

Recommend taking it into a shop to re-solder.
If under warranty, get it repaired.
If not under warranty, your choice if you want to use it they way it is.

SOURCE: THE TABLET BATTERY DRAINED DEAD NOW IT WONT POWER

Have the power adaptor checked by an electrician, most probably you will need a replacement.

If you establish that the adaptor is working, then something happened to the battery charging circuitry in your Asus and it will need repair.

If it's still under warranty, then you are good, otherwise it would be better if the adaptor alone failed, as replacement adaptors are rather inexpensive compared to laptop repairs.

You Power Cord must be bad. If you cannot get on the laptop by using just the power cord, then the power cord is bad and needs to be replaced. Also it sounds like you've been operating off your battery since the power cord is bad, but now the battery is dead because the bad power cord was not charging it.

Get a new AC Adapter and Power Cord. Or it could be that the pin where you plug the power cord into the table is damaged or broken.

SOURCE: The App Store won't let me download anything on my tablet. I am using getjar because that is what works on my tablet. How do I fix the App Store on my coby kyros tablet?

I would start by rebooting the device if you haven't already. Also go into your settings, Applications and select All applications if you can. Fin your application you use to download and install apps with, such as the Play store. Clear out the cache. Now try to download again that should fix it.
