I am trying to unlock my lg shine but I dont have the IMEI number. I did this thing to get it the IMEI number but it was a 17 digit number when I need a 16 digit number

On your phone dial " *#06# "(without quotes). This will give you your IMEI number. It does not matter whether its a 17 or a 16 digit number, unless you are not sure what you are doing.
