I have vizio model GVA47LFHDTV 10A and when you turn it on it has lines all across the bottom about a third of the way up and down the right side. after the tv is on for about 15 minutes they go away and don't come back until you turn the tv off and back on again. What is this problem?
1: Is the unit still under warranty - if so call vizio they will send a tech to your home free of charge to fix it for free! They are the absolute best . I will not buy any other TV than a Vizio for this simple fact they back what they make no hassles! I own one and had trouble afteer almost a year , I called them and they sent out a tech to fix it , done no charge, it has been fine for the last 8 years! Other than that , you have what is known as a connection problem, could be a 'cold' solder joint or a lcd connector that needs to be reseated ..

hi..the probelm is due to the video circuit board.
only when you have a problem with the video
circuit board you will get such type of faults.so
you have to check the video board immediately.

That white line (usually jagged) is actuallly part of the transmitted picture. However, you are not intended to see it because it is located in what is known as the 5% overscan area. Your TVs today are more than just cable ready... they are a versital, technology filled multimedia display. You can see that line because the screen size or wide mode you are using is intended for 1080p/24 signals. You have 0% overscan with this screen size setting. This allows you to see ALL of the picture, including portions of the picture the broadcaster did not intend for you to see. You can change your screen size using the Wide feature in the Setup menu. See pg.62 of your user manual for details and descriptions of the various wide modes.
