My Generator will not crank & code fault light blinks. I don't know what happened to cause this or how to fix it!!
What model is it KY KV need that and Spec. If it blinks 3 times it indicates a lower service fault. While blinking hit the stop button 3 times fast, then read the code. It will blink, pause then blink again and repeat. What is that code and I can help you. IE 4 blinks pause and 3 indicates code 43

It should have a cover on the floor bottom that is held in place with two torx (star) screws. remove the cover and you can remove the plug with a 9/16 socket.

Hi, The 4000 rv unit unit is equipped with full diagnostics, and is indicated by the status light blinking. The blinking sequence, blinks a code as to the fault. If your unit runs and the status light is on without blinking, it is either the circuit breaker on the genset or in your distribution panel that needs to be reset. Good Luck, this should Fixya!

synthetic? not sure about that one there may be oil pres switch that could give you a problem.

The problem is that you are not creating voltage. Remove front cover. Place a volt meter on the breaker. Start genset and you will see no voltage present. The problem could be with the brushes, rings, rotor, stator, voltage regulator, or control board.
