I am trying to reboot my kindle, it will not turn on after the power ran out. I am attempting to remove the back.
It is quite easy to remove the back from the Kindle device. You can ask for the Kindle Technical Support Registration 877 690 9305 Support
You probably have a dead battery, but it will do you no good to open the Kindle unless you wish to replace this battery. However it is rarely necessary to replace Kindle Keyboard batteries; usually the problem lies elsewhere. In this case there are three or more possibilities (in addition to a possible dead battery); namely: (1) Your screen is broken and you have wrongly concluded from.the lack of screen activity that your device is not turning on; (2) Your battery really is dead but the charging chip in the Kindle is fried. If this is the case then you have a problem. However it is unusual for the charging (power regulator) chip to go bad spontaneously; (3) You have not connected power to the Kindle or if you have, you haven't charged the device long enough. Be sure that your charging cable and USB ports are working and that voltage is being properly applied to the Kindle. If so, then allow your Kindle to charge for at least a couple of hours. If insufficient charging was your problem, then the Kindle will eventually boot.up.
Dead Kindle I'm afraid.
