The descaling light and water drop is constant flashing preventing machine from working, what to do?

Saeco Odea giro plus. After pressing water drop button for 10 seconds I have found a problem. The descaling light and water drop is constant flashing, from time to time mashine removes water like it was doing coffee. The result is that it happens when machine starts and stops machine from working.

Is it possible the machine is not self priming? Try to run some water (not steam) thru the frothing wand...perhaps that will help.

SOURCE: Saeco Odea Giro descaling problem

Ok first check if the machine is in greenlight state when you press and hold the water button, as it will not work when the red exclamation mark blinking.

also check if the button work at all flipping back and forth to hot water and steam.
I have never had this problem that it dident work.
But remember this, you dont have to do the descaling again as that has nothing to do with the reset.
You can even reset the descaling alarm with out having done the descaling.

If that for some reason wouldent work I would think its the CPU card is not working.

SOURCE: Re Odea Giro Plus - Cannot stop the red alarm

The problem is with the flow meter which is a turbine unit that is installed before the pump.Either there is a blockage or the unit is bad.Have to open the machine to get into it.

Flashing Red bulb

That is the descale light, you should run a descale through the machine. After you have done that hold on the water button and the descale light will go away

Red light is on (looks like an M) and I don't know why??

It means time to descale , however if you want to get rid of it, just press and hold the water button until it goes off.
To descale..fill the container with descaler and let water goes through the system by openning the valve and catch the descaler with a container. Turn off the machine a few minutes and start the process all over again for 1/2 hr, and finally with water to wash the system.(donot want to heat up the descaler too much)

My Saeco Odea Giro has the element light permanently on (not flashing) and the strength light is set to 3, I cannot change it. I have tried descaling, cleaning etc. Any ideas?

The element light is saying it,s time to descale. Since you have done that you can remove it by holding down the water button for a few seconds until it goes off.The strenght light?.checked whether it is not sticking.

Th element light keeps flashing while the machine is on, but I can still use the machine.

It is saying it's time to descale the machine, but if you press and hold the water button for 5 secs, the element flashing light will go off.
