I have the same problem with a WD 73732. After about an hour fleshtones go blue / purple, and picture flashes. I gutted the set, and ran it on the bench, and found that a sensor on the color wheel (a small external board), acts up when it gets hot. Cooling the board fixed the picture. I'm going to try to find a replacement part, and then make vents in the color wheel cover so it doesn't get so hot in there.

i think i won't able to give you assistance since its a hardware probem. just keep your tv away from any magnetic materials. go to the manufacturer website . may be you can try this www.sony.com and check whether they provide online assistance.

have you checked the convergence? is it just a red picture or are you getting a red outline?

Either the diffusion has not been aligned properly or the unit has a bad Plasma panel. If the unit is an LG plasma it carries a 2 year warranty and you should contact LG for the nearest auth. service center.

My first inclination would be to check the picture tube, especially if the set is over 7 years old. If it is not that, then anything from bad solder connections to capacitors or a defective IC could be the cause. If it's over 10 years old, replace it. No use flogging a dead horse.
