This tablet suddenly stopped charging. I bought a new charger and that didn't help. I then bought a usb charger to try. That didnt work either. I thought if I could open it, I could figure out what's preventing it from charging. I had a one-year warranty on the device but Xelio wouldn't respond to my emails about getting it repaired.

Most common cause of this is faulty charger, the metal connector at end of wire won't connect properly to device charging port.
Test it by putting plug back in Tablet charger port and very very gently wiggle it around very slowly, see if the charging light comes on or flickers. They usually make a beeping noise when successfully charging or the screen lights up. If you get intermittent charging then it's the charger and time to get a new one. Very common, most are USB connectors or small pin types.
If it's still under warranty then send it back to the place you bought it before you try testing it.
you most likely need a new charging port,,,, they are available on amazon, just search for #### charging port , , #### being your model number,,,, or remove the back number and read the number on the harness for the charging port and amazon search that number,
you tube videos will show you how to replace that, if you watch the vid for replacing the screen, you will see the charging port being removed and you'll then know how to do it
Chech the charger, charger cable an the connection on the tablet. When there is no dirt or debris in the power connector of the tablet, and the charger / cable domination works fine with another device, the tablet will have a defect. If so, just claim your warranty where you bought it.
Check your charging pin. Is it loose? Is it moving or pushed backwards. The charging pins on most of the less expensive tablets are malfunctioning. 4 tablets I've recieved had terrible problem that way. Mostly unfixable, unless that's the problem and you know how the solder such things. Also try a new micro usb and a different electrical outlet, good luck!
If tablet keeps burning out charges it is due to the fact that an internal short in the tablet is making the charging unit exceed its parameters and allowing it to burn itself out. The issue is with the tablet, not the chargers.
