Top oven lower heating element does not heat. Broiler element does heat. Tried swapping lower elements from top oven to bottom, element works in bottom oven so that rules out the heating element as the issue. Tested voltage going to element, Right side contact to middle, shows 120V, Left side to middle contact shows 0V. Tested voltage coming from all contacts on thermostat, both with oven on and turned off to identify inputs/outputs. Compared to working thermostat for lower oven and there is no difference at any of the contacts. So from what i can tell, the element is ok, the thermostat tested the same as the working termostat, so voltage is leaving the thermostat on both wires. I am assuming it is the connection from the thermostat output wire to the element connector, what else can i check?
Hello Chris Hammond, thanks for your post!
Based off the information you have provided it sounds like a potential problem with your connector for your element within your Frigidaire wall oven. I would recommend reaching out to a professional technician for proper diagnosis repair to help avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Best of luck! -Matt

id say something different like a thermal fuze or relay

The best way for you to check is to swap with other element since they use the same one. FRIST turn the breaker off! Then take out the 2 screws on the element. The wires unplug, make sure they don't go back in the holes or the oven may have to come out to find them. You can pull the element out and take it to a parts house to see if they can check it with a ohm meter for you if you don't want to pull both of them out.

I would say to go and reset your curciut breaker first if this is a electric oven. needs 220 volts for both element to work

I have seen and have had bad soldier connections on the relays to the boards. check boards.
I have the Frigidaire PLEB30S8CCA single wall oven. About 3 months ago the baking element appeared to have gone out. We replaced it, but still didn't work. We ended up sending our control board off to a company named Corecentric. They fixed the problem and returned it to us. The oven has worked perfectly ever since. I searched extensively for a new one, but no one sold them anymore. I found Corecentric on Ebay. They were able to confirm over the phone that it was more than likely a control board issue. It cost about $130. My husband was able to do it himself by taking a couple before px and using them when reassembling it.
