Interesting request. When I was first starting out I got books from the library on TV circuits, block diagrams, etc. In general the block diagrams really helped, the circuits not so much since as soon as they are published they're obsolete. If you're looking for schematics on the new digital TVs I'd guess that I'd ask the manufacturer for the service manual and be prepared to spend some money on it. I used to buy the service manuals for all my TVs since I got them as hand-me-downs and usually had to repair them to get them to work again anyway. We bought out first color TV (new digital TV) in 2012 and all I've heard is that no one repairs these TVs any longer, not completely true, but when was the last time you saw a TV repair shop in your town or city? Try the library for anything on TV circuits.

Locate the MB8719 chip that is right behind the channel selector. Wire a SPST switch from pin 10 to ground and another from pin 11 to pin 12.
