If supported by your tv simple put a movie in the root of the USB stick
in .avi or .dvix format then put stick in the tv and it would start the usb player function
when you unzip the file you may need to put it into a file called "upgrades". Try an empty USB stick (size should not matter) and put the autorun file into the upgrades file.
The usb on the back of samsung tv's is for updates only - you download firmware updates from samsung support and save them to a memory stick. Put the memory stick in the usb port on the tv and start the update mode. The pc input is for connecting things like laptops and older progressive scan dvd players. Hope this helps.
1. Press the menu button(green) 2. down arrow once - (a picture of a speaker should appear with sound written vertically next to it) 3. Right arrow once (selects the sound menu) 4. Down arrow till you see FM transmitter (down arrow 4 times on my TV. If you don't see the FM transmitter option in the menu then upgrade your TV to the latest software (details at the end of this help file) 5. Right arrow to get into the FM transmitter menu 6. select the "FM transmitter: off" line and turn it on (FM transmitter : on) 7. Change the frequency to to one that is not used by a radio station or has interference noise (get a radio and tune it till you hear the choosh sound with no beeping or clicking from lightning - then set the tv fm transmitter to that frequency using the up and down arrow keys and enter. 8. You should here your tv sound comming through the radio even if the tv sound is off.
If you need to upgrade your tv software then: 1. format a usb stick 2. download firmware.exe from" http://www.samsung.com/za/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/lcd-tv/LA32C530F1RXXA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support 3. click on firmware 4. click on "Upgrade File(USB type)" and download it to your usb stick 5. when the download is complete double click on the file and extract it to the usb stick. 6. eject the usb stick. 7. plug it into your TV and slelect software upgrade when prompted - I didn't loose any settings even though it warns you that you will (samsung are just covering themselves)
update "firmware" at sharpusa.com
you need to use a usb memory stick less than one gig or it wont update. once you do update the problem should be fixed
Try sticking in a blank but empty USB memory stick into the USB port.... have the real remote (philips not a universal) ready... Go into the TV Menu..Select Software Update, then select Update Assistant.... then right click over to start now... It will write an HTML file to the memory card.. wait for it to say done,(been awhile since iv done it), plug it into your PC/Mac and open the file on the USB stick.... if you need an update it will check for it... download the update and the instructions to your desktop (might be compressed, if so open it and copy the files according to the readme.... stop the stick (eject) in Windows or the mac equivalent... pull it out of the pc.. turn OFF the tv and insert...
This can very likely stop the reboot loop.. Iv seen mentions of some tv firmware revisions having this problem.
