Under my tools it shows the dashlane toolbar is enabled but it disappeared from the top of my screen. This all happened after a windows update. I'm a premium member but the dashlane site only shows this problem on Macs. Dashlane works fine on my windows 7 PCs.

You may have to setup the EXTERNAL resoloution for a bigger picture than can generally display on the lappy's screen... there is uaually a setting for the dual display setup... Right Click desktop and click Properties, the video settings can be acessed from there... Also ensure ya have the latest most up-to-date drivers for ya lappy's Video too.

Sounds like you have malware and/or spyware and your Windows profile is corrupted.
If the Start menu is not available, try booting from Safe Mode (repeatedly press F8) and see if you can download and run MalwareBytes and Spybot.
If not, get from another system, if possible.
Then, try logging in with another account (hopefully you at least have Administrator - usually with no password) and delete your problem Windows profile (in User accounts) and recreate.
Hope this helps.

It is probably a hardware problem but I would go into the BIOS screen which it gives you instructions when your first booting up on how to do this. One inside the bios screen, which is usually blue, find a list of what hardwares are pre programmed in, maybe under drive managment. Almost all computers have different wordings. See if it listed amogst your hardware, if it is, it may be turned off some how, see if you can turn it back on.
