There is some troubleshooting in the link, but it is a budget unit that sells for around $90. If it has outlived its warranty, you just replace it. If it is within warranty, claim on it. They aren't really repairable.

this sounds like you need a professional, can you get it fixed under warrenty

it depends on what signal your sending to the tv.
red and white are usually sound and yellow is picture or AV.
you may need to select the input on your TV to recive a picture. Does this help?

This depends on whether you have digital cable box or not. If you have a Digi Cable Box look for the red/white RCA output and connect this via RCA cable to the Red/White Audio input on your surround.

If just Basic Cable look for a red/white audio output on the back of your televison. connect this to the Red/white in on your surround. Could be called tv in or auxillary.

I am so sorry, but that board is Way out of production. You might try service forums for Thompson or Proscan. What kind of problem is there with the old one?
