I disarm my avital on my 2005 kia spectra but my car wont start. Happens very randomly maybe for a week it won't start without problems and than for a month or two it has no problems. Could it be my avital alarm since it has that feature to kill the ignition switch. the car just makes a click sound from the avital box i think when i turn the key but its not because of a bad battery i already replaced that

it sounds like its the bypass module. When it doesnt start the car goes into security mode and wont let it start for up to 15 minutes. I would check the bypass module to see if it still has power or has been reset, if its not something you can do, bring it to a local mobile electronics shop and they should be able to take care of it for ya.

I have a Dodge Caravan 2001 SE. Had the Avital 4103 installed. My question is, before installation i had a Chrysler car alarm in the van. When the remote start was installed they removed the alarm.
The shut down toggle switch was not installed, also the push button valet switch was not installed also. Is this a correct installation, I was told that I did not need the last two items to be installed.

If this is the factory alarm going off when you remote start the vehicle, the factory disarm wire is not connected. If you would list the year/make/model of the vehicle, I could direct you to the wire.
