Where is the cigarette lighter fuse for a Chevrolet City Express LT?

The cigarette lighter fuse for a Chevrolet City Express LT is located in the Engine Compartment Fuse Box. The location of the fuse box varies depending on the year of the vehicle. For instance, in 2003-2007 models, the cigar lighter (power outlet) fuses are numbered 29 (Auxiliary Power Outlets) and 30 (Cigarette Lighter). In 2008-2009 models, they are numbered 33 (Auxiliary Power Outlet) and 38 (Cigarette Lighter). In 2010-2022 models, they are numbered 25 (Auxiliary Power Outlet) and 73 (Cigarette Lighter).

Cigarette lighter on 2004 Grand Prix isn't working.

The lighter socket or the element.
Check the element for burn marks and the socket for debris blocking the contacts.

Lighters do not work and back hatch will not open. Is it a fuse? Which fuse?

check all the fuses with a test light at the fuse panel as you may have more than one fuse bad.replace the fuse and operate the rear hatch and if it works then and the fuse isn`t blown then you probably have a lighter assembly that is blowing the fuse.to find out which one activate each one separately and check the fuse after trying each one before trying another one.the lighter that blows the fuse you may have to replace the lighter element or the lighter socket to stop the fuse from blowing.

Ok i have a 01 ford windstar the cig. lighter caught on fire. replaced fuse now it and to obd doesnt work. really need obd it is running like u know what. dont know why??

When your lighter lit on fire it could have melted the casings on the wires shorting them together. This would cause the fuse to blow every time you use the lighter. Also it is the same fuse for both the lighter and obd (which in your owners manual will be called Data Link Connector, or DLC). Replace the fuse but don't use the lighter. When you plug in the DLC it should work just fine then try the lighter. If fuse blows you have to fix the wiring to the lighter or possibly the lighter socket.

Please help me with power in cig lighter

Hi, grab a voltmeter and test volts at car lighter connector, near to car lighter socket, if there is volts in there (uncommon) , then check for short or broken contact on car lighter socket, or replace the first socket connected in line.

If there is no voltage getting to cig lighter, check the two connections at the back of the fuse box, on the cigarette lighter fuse.

If there is volts only on one side, then fuse is gone again, in that case there is a short on wiring, maybe on one of lighters, locate it and fix it.

If there is power on both sides of the fuse, then fix or replace wiring between fuse box and cigarette lighter, one wire is broken.

If there is no power on both sides of lighter fuse, then fix the wiring between fuse box cig. lighter contact and battery, if this is too complicate you can even build a new wiring and solder in place of the old one.

If the lighters have more than one fuse, do the same job for both lighter. Cig. lighters do not use a relay, and there is no additional fuse, the above procedure is enough to fix any possible problem on such a simple device.

If you have no practice with this kind of repair on car electrical system, then better to go to a car electrician or mechanic rather then messing up the car electric system.

Please do not forget to leave us feedback afterward, that is important for us.

Many thanks.

Just lost power to lighter -

These Car Heaters will blow the Fuse or Burn the Hot wire to the Lighter every time. They were never Tested Properly for todays cars. Remove the Lighter and check the wires that go to the Lighter. Get a Flashlight and check the Fuses REALLY Close.
