I have DCC-2200WS and I just cleaned it and water runs out of the bottom of it whenever there is water in it. Is there a fix?

It leaks and drains onto the counter when I try to brew coffee

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.

Replacement time. a certain percentage of thse have this problem. There is a small, non-replaceable tube in the inside toward the bottom that has become melted/damaged.

Order 1 foot of 5236K73 "High-Temperature Silicone Rubber Tubing" from McMaster-Carr. Put the old check valve in the new tubing in the same location and direction as originally installed.

I have the same problem and I took the coffee maker apart to find out why. It has to do with a leak on a fitting. On mine I found that the fitting where the hole in the black plastic that the water flows through to get into the stainless steel tank needed to be repaired with some silicone sealant to fix the leak. Still making some coffee!

My keurig did the same thing, the rubber grommet around the part that punctures the cup gets grounds on it and prevents a complete seal. Pop of the grommet and clean it and it will be good as new.

Why is it leaking water onto top shelf
Most modern fridges have an automatic defrost that works by draining into a sort of funnel above the back of the top shelf.
The funnel is connected through the back of the fridge to a rubber drain tube that goes down the outside of the back to a heated evaporation tray under the fridge,
The hose and/or funnel can get clogged with disgusting yucky stuff, and the water spills over the top of the funnel onto the top shelf.
The fix is to clean all the bits. It's usually no big deal to take apart.
I have resorted to blowing through the tube from the bottom end and then cleaning up the mess, and brushing my teeth. Quite revolting but, that's the price I paid to become an expert.

Unit is leaking water from somewhere
Upper drip pan drains clogged, water overflowing onto the floor.

Remove the rear cover of the unit and clean it thoroughly wit a vacuum. Let the unit fully defrost. Use a can of Air duster (for pc's) with the little hose on to clear the drain holes in the upper drip tray. Clean dirty evaporator fins with windex and toothbrush, flush with water. Excess condensate should now drain into the bottom tank instead of overflowing ontot he ground. Be sure to drain the bottom tank thoroughly. With the unit cleaned it should now vent condensate out the warm air duct rather than letting it build up in the unit.

The drain in the freezer behind back lower panel
needs opening. You can see it at the bottom of the back panel
underneath the evaporator coils. (The cold coils)
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
When the defrost melts the water it goes down the drain
If the drain is clogged with Ice or ? The defrost water
overflows into the ref. or freezer or on floor
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Hello, sounds like a clogged condensate line or a faulty condensate pump if the unit has one. Cleaning the drain line should fix the problem.

Hello there
You said you' ve defrosted it for 24 hours, that is good and it is the first step, Now clean out the drain system on the freezer side. The ice melts and become water it should drain out onto the drain pan underneath . But because the drain is plugged and the water can't running down the drain so it running out the drip pan onto the bottom of your freezer compartment. You may need to take out the back pannel on the freezer side to get to the drip pan below the freezing coil.

Water is leaking onto the floor directly under the freezer of my side by side g.e. refrigerator. Water is frozen in bottom of freezer floor. Is this a costly fix? Refrigerator is 10 years old.
Clean the drain pan and drain line in the back of the freezer section underneath the evaporator coil. Make sure water drains when you pour it in. If it doesn't - also clean drain tube on the back of the unit behind the cover. When done - put the tube exactly where it was.

Water setteling on bottom of freezer side and freezing also leaking. 2 fridges both doing the same thing . leaking on the inside and freezing and underneath water is leaking.
Clean out the defrost drain. There is a drain in the freezer that lets all the defrost water run under the fridge. If that gets clogged then all the water runs into the freezer and can even leak onto the floor
