Take card from the phone. Wipe the SD card . Switch the phone off.
Replace the SD Card. Turn phone on and it should find it automatically.
You will need to go into your Phone Settings area to check if it has read it fully with items on the card.

Mine does the same thing every now and then. I end up restarting my phone and it works fine after that!

My zte majesty battery heats up n charge doesn't hold, do I need a battery or is it the phone?
I myself would replace that battery, yes. If it gets too over-heated, there is a possibility it could explode or catch fire. At the least over-heating can ruin your phone itself.
