Durabrand DWT1905How do I restore the sound if TV set does not react to any manopulation with sound regulator

If you are using a regular antenna to receive the signal, then you would need to either find a signal booster of some sort, or improve the antenna. There are many antennas out there for the digital era, most of them are set-top multi-/omni-directional ones, but they have their limitations. Unfortunately to get a better signal, typically an outdoor antenna is needed, or a large expansive one in the attic.

Try the Auto Search. It is explained in the user manual.

Set Up By Auto Search

A.) Power on the device you want to control.

B.) Press and hold [SET] key, in the meantime, press and hold the device key [ex. TV1] for more than 3 seconds and then release them, the auto search begins. The remote control enters into Auto Search, LED flashing, and remote control transmits power signal every 2.0 second automatically.

C.) See if the device reacts or not, once the device reacts, press any key (except the SET key) to stop the Auto Search.

Your regular TV set must be able to process the surround encoding through its output to where the Durabrand is taking the sound from.

Also, if you are using the TV set on a converter, Cable Box, or Sat receiver, and you are not taking the output from the component output there will be no surround from the source.

Surround sound is critical to how it is processed and applied.

It may be that the set is set for alt sound. go to the menu and set the audio to stereo. If the audio is set wrong it thinks you are set for spanish and if the broadcast is not in an alt language there will be no sound.

Have you checked all the channels connected correctly refer to the user manual once.

Unfortunetly no it is not. But if you use a cable box it will still work next year. Sorry

the problem is the power supply, check and replace regulator ic or even check the zener diode that trigger the regulator it maybe open or shorted......

you can hook it up to your tv and make your regular shows sound like theaters too. all you have to do is check with your tv menu and look for a setting there which is similar to hall,theater...etc. not all audio settings has this though.

As It only makes noise when there is no signal (without an antenna).clearly indicates that there is a problem in sound IF SECTION or loose contact in that section. your audio section section is ok as you get noise signal when there is no signal. also check remote control setting.
