SOURCE: size 377 battery wont go in - need to unscew something?

I presume that a 377 battery is the same number as what came out. Sometimes there is a small piece of metal that is a strap that helps hold the batter in. Usually, then there is a very small screw that you have to loosen to remove the plate or just move it a bit to get the battery in. Be sure that the battery is not upside down from the way that the original was placed in. Also when putting in a new battery be sure that you don't use metal tweezers to hold the battery as it will short the battery and discharge it. Use your fingers or plastic tweezers.

SOURCE: took apart, pull magnets from sides, now the thing

ECARRERO2004 - Those 'magnets' you removed from the sides of your mixer are the electric motor brushes that provide power to the commutator/armature assembly so your motor runs. Did you remove the brushes to replace them or were you just inspecting them? I'd suggest removing them again and making sure the contacts are facing in the right direction to contact the commutaor. The concave contact face should be resting completely on the comutator. If you've turned it 90 degrees too much, it wont' seat properly and you'll get no 'juice' to the electric motor so it won't start. I hope this helps - Howard, Burke, VA

SOURCE: I have a Sony Clie and I want to replace the

Hello,

there is no other screw, the cover is clipped together, that's why you cannot remove it.

Use a flat screw driver to open it from the sides that is clipped together, you need to apply force in order to open it.

You could still further check for any screw, but I doubt if there is any.

Good luck.

How do i get the ignition switch off my 1997 vw golf i took off the safety boly steering wheel and all plug conectors just left with shaft and spring

This is a how-to from VWVortex.com

You WILL need the following,
10MM wrench
13MM wrench and socket or another wrench.
a eyeglasses phillips head screwdriver. (very small)
a regular size phillips head screwdriver
new ignition switch
vice grips (may not need them)
Instructions.
1. lock the steering wheel, and make note where it was just incase.
2. disconnect the battery with 10mm wrench.
3. remove the plastic around/behind the steering wheel by the two screws underneath using a phillips head screw driver.
4. now go under the dash, and remove the plastic peices covering up the steering wheel axel. and unscrew the bolt using a 13MM wrench&socket. Its a "U" joint.
5. Unplug everything behind the wheel including the ignition and the airbag.
6. using a vice grip, or your fingers if it is loose, to unscrew a gold bolt on the left side of the steering wheel column, its right behind the steering wheel on left underside.
7. Gently pull out the steering wheel, and the whole thing, including the axel, and steering wheel will comeout, be careful the end of it is greasy.
8. now with a small screwdriver (phillips), eyeglasses size is what i used, remove the screw where the ignition switch is, its a pretty long screw so it may take some time and it the switch wont come out until its fully unscrewed.
9. replace everything opposite of how it was took out.
Note- when your putting the steering wheel axel back, be sure to put back the large spring and align the axel correctly.

I have a Streamlight Strion Xenon compact flashlight that has served me well for two years. Recently the 'twist to stay on' feature has failed. The 'push the tailswitch on' feature is still functioning,...

Ray, sounds like the switch has a problem. Streamlight is usually really good about fixing things. If you can drop by a Stream retailer in your area, they will probably give you a new tail cap. Or contact STREAM directly.
One thing, when you screw the tailcap tight, does the light come on? I have a SUREFIRE that does that, but I dont have a twist on Streamlight.

Streamlight stinger not bright

No! the last thing you want to do is get another light, if this light is still in top shape I suggest you send it back to Streamlight for warranty repair. Lifetime warranty on the light alone as far as the battery goes if you're getting an authentic Streamlight Rechargeable battery there shouldn't be a problem. If it's a knock-off battery you're on your own. Check this website out www.streamlight.com send it back to the address in contact or find an Authorized service center in your area. From what you're telling me here I honestly think it's a bad battery, I could be wrong it may be a bad switch. The switch is covered under a lifetime warranty. So take advatange of it while you can! ;) hope that helps.

It keeps saying I need to prime.

Had the same problem and almost took my machine apart. The very simple solution was in the end: the steam wand was blocked. I unscrewed it, poked through it with a long needle, screwed it back on and everything was fine.

How to change or open Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook's keyboard

Keyboard is easy - just turn computer over, unscrew the screws that connect the keyboard to the laptop and then see if there are any screws on the keyboard itself that must be unscrewed. Pry the keyboard off with a small flathead screwdriver, unplug the ribbon and replace with new keyboard by re connecting the ribbon and then snapping it into place and of course replacing whatever screws you took out. Hard drive - you must first locate whereever it is on the bottom of the notebook, unscrew those screws, take it out and reconnect new one. REMEMBER to take out battery during this whole procedure and put a cloth over the LCD screen so you wont scratch it up.

Electrolux contour 1100 flexihead. Z1436

You need to unscrew the screw at the back / base of the handle. The whole handle section will need to be slid backwards. Best way is to unscrew the screw on the rear approx 5 turns and then bump the end of the screwdriver. A few more turns then bump the end of the screwdriver again. The whole handle will eventually slide backwards and fall off. Then unscrew the two screws at the front (near switch) and the front switch cover plate will lift up (hinging at the top). This reveals the incoming wires etc.
