Try espares. If the part is not listed, there is a contact on the website to obtain a quote for a part. Of course once you have the part number you can try elsewhere.

First things first. The top oven lights ONLY come on when the top oven is switched on. Operating the grill DOES NOT turn the lights on. If you wish to see what you are grilling, you have to turn the top oven control knob on to its first position as well as turning the grill on.
Secondly, the grill only works when the door is open. The grill does not work when you shut the door. When you open and shut the door, you should be able to hear the microswitch operating. It is located in the right hand side of the cooker, between the inner and outer panels - you cannot see it. I haven't seen the switch first hand but they normally come with an arm that contacts the door mechanism and the door mechanism operating, causes the arm to move, which causes a button on the switch to move and make the circuit. It has been known for the arm on the microswitch to bend with use so it no longer works correctly.
If you have checked all above and you hear the switch operating, then it could have failed. They are quite common, so if you can't get one from STOVES, try espares or someone like Maplin or RadioSpares.
The get to the microswitch you have to take the oven out of the housing and then take the right hand panel off. You should then be able to see it and check its operation.
All the best

I have a Stoves 720 EF which failed when the cooling fan and resistor blew. New resistor and fan fitted but cooling fan only turns very slowly and resistor heats up immediately. Where do I look next?

Check how you wired the resistor. The resistor controls the speed of the fan. If its wired wrong, you will get the wrong speeds and the resistor will get very hot. Its normal for them to get warm but not so hot they start to burn. There should be a wiring diagram somewhere on the stove so you can check and confirm if one or more of the wires have been put on back to front.

Have a simpson 2002 65-647 fan forced oven. fan stopped working yesterday and blew a house fuse. What is the likely problem and is this am easy fix?

Hi - you have an electrical fault somewhere in the oven, it has to be a short circuit to earth for the house fuse to blow.

Likely causes - the elements have short circuit - may have a hole visible on the elements somewhere, wires have come off or burnt off due to loose connections and touched the metal frame, or the fan has shorted out...

It may well be viable to obtain the services of a repairman, it maybe a simple issue as above, then again perhaps not..

Have a stoves 720 es main oven fan does not stay on to cool oven after switch off> also the oven will not trun back on when it is still hot or warm ? will

First things first. There are two fans. One in the bottom oven and one to provide background cooling. The background cooling fan turns on when anything is turned on. (Fan oven/top oven/grill). Just operate the top oven for a moment and this should cause the cooling fan to operate. There is a printed circuit board that controls the cooling fan and for how long the fan should stay on once everything has been turned off. (About 7 mins). If this fan is not running then the fan/motor could be faulty, or the circuit board or the resistor on the fan terminal block. The reason the oven will not turn back on is that the residual heat in the oven unit as a whole against the fan oven, is probably too high which causes the overheat device to operate.
You will have to take the oven out of the kitchen carcass, take the top and rear panels off and get an electrician to test and found out which item is not working/failed. Try espares for parts.

My AEG competence oven is making a loud buzzing noise coming from the top fan? The food tonight was either burnt or under cooked? The buzzing is also loud when switched off/cooling down? Any ideas please.

I would suspect that the problem is caused by the external cooling fan located under the outside cooker cabinet housing, which continues to operate as the oven is cooling down if it is built in, you will have to remove it from the oven housing to access the fan

My Stoves 720EF oven blows the trip when cooling fan stops

The fan timer printed circuit board controls the cooling fan and there is also a resistor on the terminal block of the cooling fan. One or both of these could be suspect. If the fan still runs, then the resistor hasn't gone open circuit and is still providing continuity. The only way to prove out the circuit board would be to change it, but that could be expensive especially if it doesn't cure the problem.

Our wall oven will broil, but will not heat up to bake. Also the fan to cool down is super loud, where do I start? It' a GE model-JGRP18GEL5BG

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE HEATING ELEMENT HAS BURNT OUT AND THIS IS WHY YOUR OVEN DOSENT HEAT UP, I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST THE REASON YOUR FAN IS LOUD IS IT MAY BE OFF BALLANCE AND LOOSE AND AS ITS TURING IT BANGS ON THE FRAME , SO REPLACE THE ELEMENT AND FIX THE FAN .
