If it's an electronic presser foot lift you will have to take it to a babylock dealer for repair. If you mean the automatic stop/start button, make sure your foot control isn't plugged into machine first. If it still doesn't work, you will have to take it to a dealer for repair.

Not really a problem. Just trying to attach the walking foot. I removed the shank and screwed the walking foot on. However, there is a white, plastic, two-pronged gadget on the right side of the foot that...

That would be the drive arm of the walking foot. It goes around the needle bar clamp and when the needle goes up and down it makes the foot work. Take off the presser foot screw, attach the arm around the needle clamp, and reset the screw. Many feet are made from plastic so be careful not to break when tightening. It needs to be fairly secure though, lots of movement when it sews. Use at 1/2 speed or less.

How to open bobbin

If this is a drop-in bobbin, there is an indented button to the right of the cover for the bobbin area that you press and the cover will pop up.

If it is a vertical bobbin - I do not know where it is located without the model - although, it would be and the end or at the front of the machine at the location of the presser foot.

Material is stuck in the machine under the feed dogs and I can't get it out

Remove the needle, presser foot, needle plate, & bobbin.

Snip at the fabric and remove in pieces with tweezers - do this gently.

ESPIRE SEWING MACHINE - MODEL ESp baby lock

Take it back to where you had it repaired and ask the dealer to make it work under his warranty. Maybe he can tell you exactly what's wrong with your machine. Usually it is a pressure problem or the feed dogs are filled with lint or they don't rise high enough above the needle plate to work. Take off the needle plate and check them.
