It's a good idea to access Wi-Fi whenever possible to avoid data charges. After you've activated the Android tablet's Wi-Fi radio, you can connect to an available wireless network. Obey these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Choose Wi-Fi.On some Samsung tablets, you find the Wi-Fi item on the Connections tab. Choose Wi-Fi to view a list of available Wi-Fi networks on the right side of the screen. Otherwise, the list shows up full screen.

  3. Choose a wireless network from the list. When no wireless networks are listed, you're sort of out of luck regarding Wi-Fi access from your current location.
  4. If prompted, type the network password.
Touch the Show Password check box so that you can see what you're typing; some of those network passwords can be long.
  5. Touch the Connect button.
The network is connected immediately. If not, try the password again.
When the tablet is connected to a wireless network, you see the Wi-Fi Connected status icon. This icon indicates that the tablet's Wi-Fi is on, connected, and communicating with a Wi-Fi network.
Some wireless networks don't broadcast their names, which adds security but also makes connecting more difficult. In those cases, touch the Add icon. This icon might also be labeled Add Wi-Fi or Manually Connect. To make the connection, type the network name, or SSID, and choose the type of security.
You also need the password, if one is used. You can obtain this information from the girl with the pink hair who sold you coffee or from whoever is in charge of the wireless network at your location.
  • Not every wireless network has a password. Still:
  • Be careful when connecting to a non-password-protected network. It's possible that the Bad Guys can monitor such a network, stealing passwords and other information.
  • Some public networks are open to anyone, but you have to use the web browser app to find a login web page that lets you access the network: Simply browse to any page on the Internet, and the login web page shows up.
  • The Android tablet automatically remembers every Wi-Fi network it has ever been connected to and automatically reconnects upon finding the same network again.
  • To disconnect from a Wi-Fi network, simply turn off Wi-Fi.
  • Use Wi-Fi whenever you plan to remain in one location for a while. Unlike a mobile data network, a Wi-Fi network's broadcast signal has a limited range. If you wander too far away, your tablet loses the signal and is disconnected.

Why does my verizon tablet keep disconnecting from wifi and not accepting my pasword to get back on

There could be several reasons why your Verizon tablet keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi and not accepting your password to reconnect. Here are some possible solutions:
  1. Restart your tablet and your Wi-Fi router: Sometimes, simply restarting your tablet and router can help resolve connectivity issues.
  2. Check your Wi-Fi signal strength: Weak Wi-Fi signal strength can cause frequent disconnections. Move closer to the router or try to improve the signal strength by repositioning the router or using a Wi-Fi signal booster.
  3. Check your Wi-Fi network settings: Check if your Wi-Fi network settings match those of your router. Make sure you have the correct security settings and password. Try to forget the network and then reconnect and re-enter your password.
  4. Clear your tablet's cache: Clearing your tablet's cache can sometimes help with connectivity issues. You can do this by going to Settings > Storage > Cached data > Clear cached data.
  5. Check for software updates: Make sure that your tablet is running the latest software updates. Check for updates in Settings > System updates.
  6. Factory reset: As a last resort, you can try doing a factory reset on your tablet. This will erase all data on the tablet, so make sure to back up any important files before doing this. Go to Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset.
If none of these solutions work, you may want to contact Verizon customer support for further assistance.

Asus tablet is locked out of wifi

Go into settings, turn off Wi-Fi, shut tablet down and wait a couple of minutes then turn back on. After boot up go back into settings turn Wi-Fi back on and see if you can connect to Wi-Fi. If not then the Wi-Fi part of the tablet is probably defective.

I can't get it to go on my wi-fi. Help!

1st pass, go into the settings (the gear icon) amd make sure that wi-fi is turned on. I don't recall mine doing that but that was a couple of tablets (several years) ago.
2nd pass, if the wi-fi is on, make sure it is seeing your wi-fi hub (router).
3rd pass, if the wi-fi is on and you can log into the router with another machine (like a laptop or smart phone) then it's time to get it replaced and hope the warranty is still in effect. If the warranty has expired, go onto ebay or Amazon and get a real tablet. iRulu was my first tablet and I consider it to have been a piece of junk. Definitely not worth even the small price I paid for it.

How do I connect my Samsung Galaxy to BT broadband?

Are you trying to connect via wi-fi or via bluetooth? Typical hotspots are wi-fi, and that can be as easy as turning on wi-fi (in Settings, Wi-fi - see manual or quick setup brochure) then waiting for it to find an active hotspot and plugging in any necessary password. Bluetooth is much less common. Post more info and I'll try to help more.
