well first off which tranny do you have?? if the vin code is T it is automatic-A4LD, which was used in the years of 1984-1990 if you have a manual tranny then it might be one of these two.. toyo koygo tk5 vin code is 5 which was used in the years of 1985-1987, they also used a mitsubishi FM145 vin code D in the years of 1985-1987 hope that helps..
Hi!!
This transmission have band adjustments, your best bet is to get a $15 Haynes Repair Manual for your vehicle, on the Transmission Section, you'll find step by step instructions. Don't even have to remove anything. all it's done on the side of the tranny.
Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!
I would have to say no,there is nothing else you can do now. Does the fluid smell burned? Is it discoloured? If it is ok now after the top up and additive ,consider your self lucky.
1. get the battery tested to rule out a collapsed cell.
2. If the battery is ok, check the wiring harness that runs from the passengers front corner, to the drivers front corner, for a break in the wires. A common spot to find one would be near the passengers side.
will a bronco 2 have enough clearance for the 351? i know the motor mounts are different and i am sure the tranny and transfer case wont line up right....i am not sure a wiring harness is gonna be your biggest worry here
theres a couple places you could look, a haynes book for the ford bronco gives great detail on removal, repair, and installation of the transmission, and can be found at autozones or even bookstores.
