Check you center channel. Is the speaker hooked up correctly? Is the center channel turned off in the setup menu? Most voices in movies will come through the center channel

SOURCE: i can't hear people talking when i watch a movie?

I had the same problem and found that there was a connection problem with the center speaker. Do a sound check on all speakers and see if the sound is coming out of the center one. If not then just check you have connected it properly.

When playing a blueray movie I can hear back ground music and noise but not the people talking

For this particular problem, you have a mismatch between your Blueray player and your home theater system. It sounds like your Blueray has the audio set to Dolby Digital which has most of the dialog correlated to the Center Channel Speaker and your home theater system set to stereo. Once you get the two talking the same language, so to speak, you will be able to hear the dialog.

If you have both Digital connections such as Digital Audio RCA or Digital Optical Toslink as well as Analog L/R audio connected to your HT system, you can remove on or the other and trouble shoot from there.

I hope this information is helpful for your system fix.

When i make a call the person called cannot hear me on the cell phone

It sounds like your speaker may be blocked or is going bad. Try to clean it out while the phone is turned off with a q-tip and alcohol. Make sure it dries before turning the phone back on.

Our line one cuts out even when we're talking on it & we can just barely hear the person on the line but they can hear us clearly. We have unplugged the phone's power cord & plugged it back in...

I have the same sort of problem...kinda..lol. My Vtech sorta 'cuts out' when there is noise at my hosue. The person I'm talking to can still hear me but I can't hear them. If my son starts crying or there's any other loudish type noises on my end, it's like the phone is trying to cutout my background noise, but all it's cutting out is the person talking to me. It's not that the noises in my house are loud and I jsut can't hear the person I"m talking to, b/c if i cover the mouth peice then no matter how loud the sound in my house is i can still hear the person i'm talking to but I HAVE to keep the mouth peice covered. It's really annoying!
