That is usually the DRAM auto-size error. Did you just install new RAM modules that were larger than before ? If so, you may have exceeded the 'per-slot' Motherboard Maximum for a RAM module.

Hi I have a viper 5701 it was working fine for about 2 years and today the car just stop beeping when I lock or unlock the car please help

Was this "beep" from the horn or a siren? The unit could be in valet. Look at the LED on the antenna. Is it on solid? If so the system is in valet. To remove valet, turn ignition on then off, press and release programming button on antenna.
If the LED is not on and, the "beep" came from the siren then, there is an issue with siren itself.

Sound like the siren. check the connections at the siren. If the connections are good and the system is sending a signal then, you may need to replace it.

Upgraded to windows vista. my Ethernet driver is missing. Where can I find the download for it. I have e machine. T6426

The generic Vista Ethernet driver should work. The only driver downloads I could find for your model are for Power DVD and the audio driver for Windows XP.

You may have to borrow a USB network link (wireless or Ethernet) device and use it to go to Windows Update. Select the Optional updates and you may find a driver for your onboard Ethernet there. Another possibility is to download the E-machines hardware detection utility on the page referenced in the previous paragraph - this will tell you who made the Ethernet chip and what model it is so you can download the driver from the manufacturer. You may also find this information in the System/Device Manager hardware list.

Looking for a way to stop the beeping that occurs upon with the countdown that accompanies the exit delay. Any thoughts?

That beeping is controled in installer level programming. If you disable it you will disable all other beeps as well. You will not hear chime entry/or exit. If someone breaks in you will not know till siren goes on, if you have one. GL.

I have a GE home security system. Last week there was a power surge due to a blown transformer in the neighborhood. A few hours afterward the systems siren sounded & would not turn off. So we...

It might not hurt to try the "Microsoft Solution" and reboot the system. First disconnect the AC power then disconnect the battery. Wait 1 minute then reconnect the battery and reconnect the AC power.See ifyou can arm and disarm the system. Then reconnect the siren and try again to arm and disarm the panel. If the keypads beep it can usually give you an error code that will help you pinpoint the problem.

Computer when turned on will not boot and makes a long beep continuously and then makes like a siren sound

The long beeps probably mean a problem with RAM. So try replacing it. Check whether the CPU Cooler (the fan on top of the processor) is working. If the fan is not working, the processor gets hot, and a siren sound is emitted. Also check whether power unit fan (at the back) is working. If RAMs are replaced and you still get the beeps, the problem may be with the VGA. (The beep sounds help to identify the problem, but the sounds differ with different BIOS models).
