11,000 miles. original , no add ons. Sat two years under cover due to family. Tank had fuel in it that I had forgot about.

Sounds like you need to clean the carbs out, as they are probably gummed/varnished badly after sitting for 2 years.

I think you are exactly right. Sounds like you have some clogging in your idle jets and probably in need of a carb tune up. if you havnt replaced or cleaned your air filter in a while, now would be a good time to do that as well, being that some filters begin to break down and pieces of them get into the carb ports and cause clogging.

The carbs will need to come off and be cleaned. They are gummed up causing the stalling. The petcock will need to be replaced, it is not rebuildable

Hi, most probably you must clean the main jet on your carburator . When you use choke you are inceasing the petrol ratio in the fuel mix by reduciing air ; and you need that because the main jet does not alow petrol to flow
