RV FURNACE The module in the furnace clicks all the time. The furnace works when I turn up the thermostat like it is suppose to, but when the RV gets warm, about 20 seconds after the furnace shuts off, the relay on the board in the furnace starts clicking. The red light on the board blinks as it clicks. I tried to reset it by removing the power. I also removed the thermostat by unplugging it in the RV, still clicks. The only way to stop the click is to unplug the board. So, is there a shorted wire, or do I need to replace the board?

It's hard to answer your question without the age and brand of your heater but the blinking of the red light can be a heartbeat, which indicates all systems are ok and there is power or the blinking is like 2 blinks, pause, and 2 blinks, pause repeating. That would indicate a failure code. In that case Google the model and serial number to get the failure code.

SOURCE: Thermostat calling for heat but furnace shuts off and on

I had to fix a similar furnace recently I cut 2 cm off the end of a hose and made it tighter I tapped the relay on the circuit board in case it arced and spot welded itself shut All worked fine right afterwards

Testimonial: "i could try shortening the tube but it seems short enough. I don't understand the second part of your solution. I've never dealt with circuit boards/furnaces before"

SOURCE: Furnace blower won't turn on

You may need to replace the sail switch. It senses the fan speed and when it connects the gas valve should open and furnace should fire up.

FURNACE WON'T TURN ON: I have a 1999 Fleetwood, Prowler RV. The furnace won't turn on.

Check the exhaust port of the furnace. Wasps like to build nests in there and it will not allow the furnace to ignite if blocked. You have a gas detector and it is turned on I assume? I forgot this many times.

Gas furnace does not come on

You should have 2 blue wires as well down at furnace connections. Remove thermostat wires going to those 2 blue wires and connect those 2 blue wires together, ( make sure they don't touch anything else) with thermostat on heat setting. If 12 VDC power going to red & white or red and black at furnace, connecting those 2 blue together, should start furnace. If not problem at furnace, if it does start, problem at thermostat or wiring to it. All that does is by-pass thermostat to confirm where problem is.

The light is supposed to be on, if there is a fault in the furnace the light will begin to give u a flash pattern... ie; three flashes...or two flashes.. on the furnace exterior or on one of the doors there should be a fault code chart.... read the chart on the unit it will tell you what light is on and when..
