Many times the air circulation across the condenser is the problem. Take a look at the condenser and make sure that the condenser fan is running and there isn't dirt or grease blocking air movement. There is also the obvious like a compressor that's not running or an iced up cooling coil. Is the compressor hot? Maybe an additional description would help. Are the fans inside the cabinet running?
