Baring any damage to the load or eject trays, Check the back of the eject tray with a flash light by opening the top of your printer where you insert your cartridges. (make sure power is off first so that cartridges will not move over and be in the way.) . Next, check for any obstructions of paper, dirt, or foreign objects.

Next if there is nothing to be found, use a pencil eraser and a couple cue tips and rubbing alcohol to clean residue that builds up on the rollers where the paper feeds through. Screenshot

Close the top, make sure that the load tray is not damaged and is inserted properly. (You can remove the back 2 screws on the load tray and get access to the inside to check for any other obstructions and cleaning.)

SOURCE: Lexmark 4300 not loading paper correctly

Look down the paper feed into the printer you will see one white plastic roller. Find a cotton bud and soak the end in methylated spirits and poke it down and wipe the roller. make sure you wipe the whole circumference of the roller. This removes any grease that has come off the paper onto the roller and allows the roller to grip the paper better. I have done this once and have not had a recurrence of the problem.

SOURCE: My Lexmark X5650 all in one printer displays a paper jam error

Inspect entire paper path for even a little shred of paper. All it takes to block a sensor, or hold down a "finger". if nothing at all, could be one of the sensors are faulty or unplugged.

Paper wont feed

Leading cause of paper jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:

  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
  2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
  3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
  4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
  6. Close the printer cover.
  7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
  8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

When i try to print its pulling the paper in wrong, and then saying paper jam whats wrong?

Hi,
Maybe the paper loading.Try this:-
  • Remove the previously stuck paper and turn the printer off and on.
  • Extend the paper guides by pressing down the paper adjustment lever.
  • Now load the paper making sure it goes into the center of the paper support and then adjust the paper guides by moving the lever up or down.
  • Make sure the paper guides rest against the edges of the paper.
Hope this helps.Thanks!

Paper is pulled through crooked printing is not straight. how doyou clean the rollers?

This can be caused by several factors. It could be that there's something(like small foreign objects in the paper feed area) causing the paper to get crooked. It can also be caused by improperly adjusted paper guide or the paper is not in good condition.

I have a lexmark x5650 and evertime I try to print something the paper will feed through on one side and not the other so it doesnt print properly. also it says paper jam. any ways to fix this??

if you have a paper jam error and you don't see a Jam it means the printer just needs to be reset.
Please try this to do a partial reset. Leave the printer on and then unplug it and leave it unplugged for about 1 minute and then plug it back in and turn it back on and see if the problem persists.
About the paper feed, first check the printer preferences, go to start, select printer and faxes. Mark the Lexmark printer, click right mousebutton and select properties from the menu list.
Check that you have set paper size to DIN/A4 and adjust your other settings as needed.
If the problem persist check if you have the latest drivers installed, if this doesn't help I think you will need to contact lexmark support.
