It's a scan from PC error. Most common problem is that the destination folder for scan does not exist. Does it give that error on just a plain text document as well? It could be the document type and settings. Hardware wise could also be a main board issue.

Reset Fuser Life

  1. Using the control panel buttons scroll to Maintenance, press OK.
  2. Scroll to Check Others, press OK.
  3. Scroll to Fuser, press Reset

Try this before replacing the fuser.
You do have to reset a new fuser also.
Reset Fuser Life

  1. Using the control panel buttons scroll to Maintenance, press OK.

TRY FIRST (Solutions without parts):
For a continuous RAM Error message, try cleaning RAM contacts and reseating RAM.
NOTE: Third-party or generic RAM is not covered by warranty or service contract and should be removed for troubleshooting purposes.


TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS AND HINTS:
Replace RAM. If problem is not resolved, replace the Image Processor board. Please Note:
Intermittent 6250 RAM Errors can be resolved by replacing the Print Engine Board and EEPROM, remembering to Save/ Restore in Diagnostics.

Troubleshooting Procedure Table
Step Actions and Questions Yes No
1 Check the Laser Unit for correct
installation.
Is the Laser Unit correctly installed?
Go to step 3. Reinstall the

Go to step 3. Complete.
3 Check the wiring harness connectors
P/J40, P/J41, P/J411, and P/J412
between the MCU Board and the Laser
Unit.
Are the connectors securely

Go to step 5 Reconnect the
connectors. Go
to step 4.
4 Cycle the power.

Go to step 5. Complete.
5 Replace the Laser Unit (page 8-31).
Does the error still occur?
Replace the

Most likely you are using generic ink or ink not made for that specific machine. The black ink is the one causing the problem. the printer will then need to be reset.

First, when you put the paper in the tray make sure the paper holders on the side and back of the tray are positioned against the paper stack but not so much as to be snug.
Next, inside the compartment where the paper try is inserted look for a small plastic piece that hangs below the ceiling of the compartment. It should be near the front of the compartment hanging down and should swing freely backward.
Also, in the printer's paper tray settings make sure that tray is set to that size of paper you are using.

My Xerox Phaser 6128MFP printer flashes a red light with a "Load paper in Tray" message, when the specific paper size and type are already same in the tray.
If the paper size is correct in the printer and the printer and it's possible to print off a test print in both the printer control screen or directly from the print driver utilities if that works then the only thing I can suggest is the item you want to print is defaulted to a different size. i.e. Check that the word processor your using is set to the size you have in the printer. Imperial size pages will look very similar on screen as does the A4. Printers don't automatically fix paper print sizes you just have to check and recheck for differences. Removing the tray only reafirms to the printer that the size might be incorrect and your going to fit the correct size.
As for the red light all printers behave differently in certain error conditions. Have you also tried to print out something you printed at a time the printer was working correctly. In other words try printing out a different file. Maybe, trying to print off a test print of one line of the alphabet, and then go from there.

Phaser 6128 mfp error sensor ctd
Open up the side panel that houses the toner cartridges. One by one pull out the toner cartridges, with a clean dry cloth clean off the injection port(?) on the cartridge and the injection port on the printer(this will be just inside the where the cartridge locks in. Sometimes these ports get clogged with toner and need a good cleaning, causing a CTD sensor error. Our 6128mfp does this error all the time and we have not had to purchase the new parts to fix the error.

Fax does not work on my Xerox Phaser 6128mfp. I get error code 035-701 which says "no dial tone". All lines seem to be plugged into phone and phone outlet. Can you help? Thanks. Terri
Make sure you have a live phone line, I have received brand new Phone cords and when you don\'t check to be sure by plugging a phone in that gets a dial tone and you can dial someone\'s phone and talk to them don\'t always think it\'s your Printer first . Sometimes it\'s that little thing you were sure was Ok but turns out to bite you . I have the Xerox Phaser 6128 MFP and I have never heard of a No Fax issue Yet . Most of the time if it boots it works and I got this back in Jan of 2009 and always keep it covered with the plastic wrap it came with . Can\'t say it is still nice and clear Plastic anymore . I would be happy to help anyone with this Xerox model I have run into a few problems that might make someone jump for the phone to call for help but they all end up being something easy for anyone to handle in most cases . Good Luck . if you need help e-mail me I will give you free advice not like some other sites that I have seen out there .
