I have a 2-year old Frigidaire Oven that sometimes stops cooking and beeps with a "F43" error message. The only thing I can do is turn off the oven and let it cool down. This used to happen only when we tried to use the self-cleaning, but now may happen when the oven has been used for more than ~20-30 mins. It happens with both upper and lower oven. Any help is appreciated.
The code F43 means - The cooling fan speed, as read by the tachometer input of the EOC-display board, is abnormally too slow.
when the cooker is on can you feel the fan is on through the upper vent? If not then the fan is the problem if you can then the fan sensor is the problem!

kittyboy The first step I would recommend you to do is to turn the circuit breaker on, then set up the oven clock. Start the self clean for any amount of time, wait about 30 seconds and push the cancel button. Most of the time it helps to eliminate the problem. If it would not help, let me know and we will go further. In that case I will need the complete model number. If it is the free standing range, you can find it on the frame behind the bottom drawer. If you unplug the range and remove the lower rear cover on your left side you should see the motor with 2 switch's on it. There are 3 possibilitys with it. One of the switch's on the assembly is not working or the light switch for the door is not good. You also can disconect the lead to the motor and connect a power cord to it and that will unlock the door so you can check the dor switch also. if you do not feel comfortable powering up the lock motor then you should call a repair man. But one of the switches is not letting the computer know the dor is locked.

I had the same problem. All I had to do was clean around the door lock. A small bit of burnt food or something had gotten into the hole around the lock and prevented it from moving all the way into position. Took a tooth pick and 30 seconds of probing to clean it out. Works fine now.
