I need to change the bulb in my oven but an't seem to get the cover off

Hopefully someone answered your question by now. If not, the glass bulb cover sticks sometimes, but it does turn counterclockwise. Be firm with it, let it know who's boss. Once you've removed it, you can replace the 40 watt appliance bulb. (The manual suggests you unplug the range or disconnect power for your safety). Good luck.

normally the cover just unscrews but may be difficult if not removed for a long time - large pair of grips will help

The glass cover does come off. Use some latex gloves or non skid material and grasp the lens firmly and turn counter clockwise.

I went out and bought a 4 inch strap wrench from LOWE's. I had never heard of one before. After figuring out from the diagram how to use it, I wrapped it around the glass bulb cover and did a counterclockwise twist and off it came. P.S. I'm a girl so I feel pretty good about that project
