The oven element is broken, how to I replace it?

SOURCE: whirlpool oven model RDE6030A the bottom element

Unplug stove and remove screws holding element to oven cavity. Remove and take to nearest appliance shop and they will match up for you. Not an expensive repair. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My Defy 621 stove causes the earth leakage to trip

Most likely an element. When the heating wire expands inside the tube it contacts earth and kicks out the earth leakage. Select 'grill' and try the oven. If it does not trip out the lower element is the culprit. Replacement is easy for a reasonably adept handyman - just make sure that the mains are off!

Question edited for clarity and toss in a load of CAPS.

Disconnect the element and the fan and check them both for continuity with a multimeter. If the circular element or the fan fails, nothing works, so it could be either.

Our Defy 735 tc oven, the fan works but the oven is not heating up at all. It just blows cold air. Any idea what is wrong and what we need to do to fix it?

have the element checked as it may be burnt out
check the element fuse ( if there is one )

Hi guys. Does the Defy Gemini multifuction thermofan oven have a bi-metallic thermal switch? My oven completely switches off around 180 degrees celcius, then resets itself. I dont see a thermal cut-out, so left with the thermostat or timer PCB maybe?
