Hello Fixya experts, I recently bought an Olympus

Hello Fixya experts, I recently bought an Olympus refurbished camera, Olympus TG 830-iHS 16mp. Everything works fine, except when I remove the memory card and put it into my computer, the videos have no sound, even when I copy them onto my computer memory, but when I watch the videos on the camera they have sound. Hope y'all can help.

Check your sound card. Go to internet where there is sound attached and play it. If there is still no sound your sound card may be bad.

SOURCE: my camera wont upload videos, but it works fine with pictures.

Goto any radio shack and get a external memory card reader this will allow you to get your pictures if the camera or cable is defective.

SOURCE: Hello Fixya experts, I recently bought an Olympus

The audio codec used in the camera is not installed on your computer. Check the Olympus website to find out what they're using - perhaps there's a download available.

Hello Fixya experts, I recently bought an Olympus

Find out what format you are saving your photos to in the camera. You may not have the correct program on your computer for playback. Did a disk come with the camera with software you are missing? Some camera companies make you use their playback. Often there are settings on the camera to choose how you save the photos/video. If you read your manual you may find you can change that to JPEG and MPEG. Good luck.

My olympus tg 310 is stuck with the lens open and won't come on at all even when a fresh battery is installed

If the camera is within warranty, return it to where you bought it. Common fault with a few different brands, to do with a lens open sensor within the lens assembly itself. Maybe allow the camera to dischage without the battery for a few hours and see does it power on with a new battery. Also chack the battery, if it has bubbled it a dud, and check the battery contacts within the battery compartment.

My olympus tough tg-310 got wet inside with salt water form the beach now it won't turn on please help.

There is very little that can be done, salt water will corrode metal on contact, all eletronic parts have been compromised, if the memory card is still intact save your pictures and remove it from the camera to transfer to new hardware. Replacing the camera unfortuneately is the only option.

Hello Max,
Is your camera registered? If not please register it here.If its registered then its still on warrant.I would suggest you utilize that and contact the customer care with your camera's issue before proceeding.Could be a defective charger or a bad battery.
But remember my first option.
