We're wondering if we can fix this problem without having to spend $ on a technician. Machine was working fine until we moved it to clean behind. Now when you turn the POWER button on, it flashes 2 yellow lights in the program lineup (5th and 6th from the right) and the red spin (the 1st on the right). It beeps continuously unless you press another button but even then, the flashing lights stay flashing and nothing happens.
Would very much appreciate any help you can give us!
With thanks

Error 49. Its a water solenoid. Replace it. I got one on Ebay for $40 delivered. Still had the problem. Below is my solution. I didn't ant to pay for a new controller. They aren't worth it. Must cost about $30 to make them!
I replaced the solenoid but still had binary 49 LED code. I chased the circuit through the Motor Controller (brown one in Australia) GW712.
It was a couple of FETS or Qs in a H drive. The get fed their +v from the main power rectifier. There is a funny looking round component called F^ which is a quick blow 1.6 A fuse. Because my solenoid had a shorted turn on it (bubling to outside packaging) it had blown this.
I didn't have one instock so I substituted an ordinary glass 2AG 2.0amp fast blow. You need to remove the old fuse and solder 2 wires into the holes left these are inturn soldered to the fuse ends. I used hot glue to hold the fuse clear of any other components.
You can get slow blow fuses almost anywhere. In my experience ordinary fuses are the same they always fail after the components are lost anyhow!
If you are desperately dirty you could just jump the 2 holes with tinned copper but this could represent a fire hazard if a solenoid goes again.
We amke microcontrollers. It is a simple fix and saved me $350. A fuse is 10c or maybe $1 if you buy them one at a time. Make sure you test the plugs before you start up. My GW712 read:
1. Each motor winding ~ 35 ohms to any other
2. The lid solenoid ~ 70 ohms
3. Each water solenoid ~ 60 ohms
4.The thermistor ~ 10K ohms
# When this fault exists you can empty the water by removing the tube to the Pressure Xducer and using a tube from your mouth to blow into it HARD!!! The pump will start and pump it out for you.
To calculate the error code (for what use that is when you can find out)
LEDS indicating wash cycle
128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1
Add the values for each light LED
Check the out of balance switch which is located underneath the motor controller panel. It is a small rectangular flat piece with two wires going to it. If you see any corrosion then you will definately need a replacement part (which had fortunately been improved on since the original).
Are the water faucets connected well; is the exit hose at about three feet high from ground level & then into the standpipe? Is the faucet open fully before you start the machine........
If it still flashes, press "end of cycle" button for over 5 seconds to clear screen.

i could not explain it better ... is this a manufacturer fault. Everything was fine until one morning it just goes with this beeping and flashing continuous problem.
I tried to switch the power on and off or press other buttons but it just stays frozen until you press the power button again.
It is only 3 years with me.

Also GW712. Same sort of problem. Constant beeping, 2 midcycle lights plus a red spin light. The beeping can be stopped by pushing any button and the 3 lights go out but then the lid locked' light stays on and the maching won't do anything - even though the lid is not locked. Started about 9pm - the machine had not run for hours. Power off for several hours has no effect.

Lights are on and beeping occurs but the motor seems to falter. The water is going in but the wash and rinse cycle don't operate for more than about 10 secs. Tried turning off power and unplugging from wall (like a laptop) Wonder if the machine was overloaded to begin with. Took all articles out and tried again but the problem is still there
my third and fourth light and the end spin light stays on and beeps it does nt stop beeping till u press the start button and then the lid lock light stay s on and that s all it does please help thanks
my f & P GW712 stopped before the rinse cycle error 39 or 23 can't quite remember which green light I'm pretty sure it was 32,4,2,1 lights that were on can you give me some advice as to which direction to head as the machine is only 3 years old and has run well 'til now and we don't want to waste $ on a call out to only be told it can't be fixed or that it would only cost a small amount for the part that my hubby could've replaced thanks millsjam
