Although fault code "F6E6" most often indicates a communication failure between the User Interface and Appliance Manager board (Service Pointer W10538518), it could also indicate an incorrect electrical connection at the customer's home junction box. Sounds like you have some wires crossed!

SOURCE: E1 and f5 error/Door locked

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

Hi. How can I fix error F6E6?

We bought this oven too for our newly renovated home, we used it for six days before it failed due to an electronic error (F6E6: Appliance Manager 1 Board Communication). After a failed warranty repair attempt and multiple phone calls/complaints we eventually got Whirlpool to agree to give us a new oven. We had to wait six MONTHS for this new oven to arrive due to it being out of manufacture. Our second oven arrived and worked for 8 weeks until this weekend, it failed again with an F6E6 error! Now to try and get it repaired replaced!

There is obviously something wrong with the electronic design or poor-quality components are being used. We strongly recommend you do not buy this oven.

We bought a matching combi oven from the same range which means we have to stick with this oven or we will end up with ovens that don't match in a brand new kitchen!

Possible Solutions

Reset power to the product:

There may be a problem with the Oven Appliance Manger Control or the associated wiring.
  • Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
  • Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify oven operation.

My mbleoven had a E2-F2 code what is the oro

The F2 class of error messages means that the keypad and the control unit aren't communicating properly. First turn off the circuit breaker to the range for a minute. Check if the error recurs after you clear the PF message. If the error recurs, turn off the power again. You need to check the wiring between the keypad and the control unit. Make sure that all of the wire harness connections are fully seated and all the wires are undamaged. It's not uncommon for one wire to get broken so check the continuity.

If that doesn't help, you probably need a new keypad. If you add a comment with the model number of your oven, I may be able to point you to a supplier.

I hope this helps.

Why won't my oven let me set the temperature after a power failure?

Good Morning Annette,

I see that you are having trouble with setting the temperature of your oven on your range, model# FGB24S5A, after a power failure. I also see that you have reset your appliance by unplugging it and are receiving an error message of SAG or 5AB. I have looked into the model number that you have listed and it shows as a wall oven. I also do not show either of those error codes you have shown. If you can please get me the model number off your range, so I can better assist. The model number will either be right inside the oven on the back of the door or it may be located inside the bottom drawer. Looking forward to hearing from you.

F1 code

Most F1 error codes refer to a communication error in the main control board/ clock on some there are reset overload switches that if tripped show as a push button that is pushed outward that you can reset. This also mainly depends on which type of oven that you do have and you would have to provide the make and the model number of the unit in order for me to give you an exact solution to your f1 error instead of a generalized one. Sometimes also you can turn off the power at your electrical breaker for 7 minutes which this causes the control to reset in some. Most of the time in most models though the F1 refers to having to replace the electronic control module (ECM. If you have any further questions or wish for me to look up the exact error for your unit message me back your make and model number and I will give further diagnosis on your unit. Thank you again

This message is displayed on my oven: EO - F2 - What does it mean?

E0 F2 fault code usually indicates a shorted touchpad on the oven control. Firs disconnect power to the range for 30 seconds and restore it. This will cause the electronic range control to reset and sometimes will clean errors.

If the error returns the touchpad on the control will have to be replaced. Some ranges have the touchpad made on the control and the oven control has to be replaced.

Open the drawer under the oven and look on the frame of the range around the opening the drawer slides into for a model number tag. Get the model number of the range and go to searspartsdirect and you can see a parts diagram and list for your range.

Hope this helps.

This blank display is a common control board problem. If the buttons beep when pressed, then the control board is getting adequate power.
