Make sure power is off, also scooters can only be pushed at very slow speed otherwise you will generate power from the motor to the controller and damage the controller.

SOURCE: Pride Legend does not hold

First of all, here is the main PRIDE ONLINE SUPPORT User Manual Download page:

http://www.pridemobility.com/resourcecenter/Downloads/Product_Owners_Manuals/product_owners_manuals.asp

To view the Support Page just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated.

To download the Owner's Manual, just click on the appropriate model number in the list. There are 4 different LEGEND models to choose from, just pick whichever one is yours. You will then be asked if you want to OPEN or SAVE the document. Choose SAVE, then pick a place on your computer to save the file, such as the DESKTOP. Once it is saved there, you can open it and read through it.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there.

See page 12 of the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for detailed instructions on how the safety brake operates on an incline.

From the manual, it reads as follows:

When negotiating ramps, if the throttle control lever is released while moving forward, the
powered scooter may "roll back" approximately 1 foot (30.48 cm) before the brake engages.

If the throttle control lever is released while moving in reverse, the powered scooter may "roll back" approximately 3 feet (1 meter) before the brake engages.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

If this was at all helpful please click on the 4 Thumbs Up helpfulness rating icon you see on this page.

Thank you very much and good luck.

Joe.

Stopped going when free wheel lever accidently pushed forward. Put back. Still wont start.

Check for error codes. Move free wheel lever in and out a few times in case the brake micro switch is not making correctly.
Check speed control is not turned down low.

My gogo ellite scooter back wheels wont move its like they are stiff everything else working

Possible problem with your Transaxle or Solenoid Brake. More likely to be the Solenoid as this would explain there being no noise when you push it (in order to push it you have to disengage the solenoid hence no noise). This is a small magnetically operated brake attached to the end of your motor and they can sometimes bind on causing noise - heat buildup and excessive battery drain amongst other things. they usually are held on with 3 or 4 small allen bolts and are very easy to replace .. Hope this helps

Put in new batteries status light blinks no forward or reverse

The blinking is a flash code, maybe you should check the free wheel lever is in the drive position."hard to manually push"

Lights run back and forth from red to green, no power

sounds like it might be in lock mode or the free-wheel is on. if i remember correctly to unlock push the joy stick forward and hold, turn on the power hold in forwared for about 10 seconds then release turn of and on and should be unlocked. if you are in free wheel push the scooter forward or backward if it is easy to move then the free wheel is on put it to off. and power on and you should be sorted.

The motor or transaxil lock up and stop the

Hi. Sounds like the circuit breaker ( over load switch ) is tripping out. If you let it sit for a few minutes, does it start to work again? Does it stop when you are driving onthe flat ground, or when you drive up a slope.
I have had cases where this happens to scooters going up a slope, usually because the circuit breaker is rated to low. Sometimes a faulty or burn't out motor will cause this fault.

Also check that the brake solenoid ( free-wheel )is releasing properly. Can you push the scooter when the brake is released?
Good luck. Neil.

New brake put on about 1 year ago. now doing the same things. very slow foreward and reverse. causes batterys to loose power fast. Batterys new. The scooter is a mm-222 by mega motion

Hi. If you manually release the brake ( free-wheel ) can you push the scooter by hand across the floor?
It might not be the brake. Check the resistance through the brake coil, it should be about 50 ohm's.
It is possible that the motor has burnt out, this could cause the same fault that you have. A burnt out motor has a very distinctive smell of burnt varnish.
Good luck. Neil.

Battery power on mobility scooter

Most scooters show a drop on the battery level meter when in use, as long as it is`nt slowing down it should`nt be a prob. I mean, when you engage the throttle you ARE putting a load on the batteries,so it`s only par for the course that the indicator would drop a bit.
