Polaroid 4241-TLXB wont stay on

I bought a Polaroid 4241-TLXB LCD TV on December of 2007 in Walmart. After 1 year and six months now the TV is giving me a headache. After having the TV on for 5 minutes the screen goes black. Does anyone had the same people and was able to fix it?

I think I may have just solved this issue. Remove the back covers and turn the tv on until it the screen goes black. There will be a little red led that will light up when the screen goes black. right above that light there is 4 little swiches, the bottom one is labled BURN. Switch that one to the opposite direction. I don't know how but mine has been working for a couple days now with no issues. GOOD LUCK!

I have a polaroid 4241-tlxb, 42 in. i have the "BLACK screen of DEATH" but my blue pwr light does come on when i hit the power button. what is or can be the PROBLEM ?

More likely to be the power supply problem due to bad DC filter caps with domed tops, that will be the first place to look. Very common problem.

Common Polaroid TV Problem-no picture but sound works

Failed capacitors are common problem in LCD TV's and Monitors. Each power supply uses different caps size and value. You should inspect the power supply module first.

TV PICTURE BLACK OUT

You need to check at the inverter fuse to see if the fuses are blown or you are not getting the 24vdc from the power supply.

My cable woent out for a minute. Comcast helped me to get it and

Sorry! the tv still in warrenty?Take it back where u bought it,get a replacement remote.Not,try website 1-800-Remotes Factory original.To buy a new exact remote or very close to the original.
