For which remote exactly? Each manufacturer of programmable/ learning remotes has their own code base and unique numbers for each device.

Asking for "a code" without saying the make and model of remote is like asking for the postcode/zip code of Acacia Avenue but without specifying the city and district.

Many surround sound systems don't work with universal remotes. They require factory remotes. I could not find any codes either.
Contact the manufacture of the surround sound receiver, go onto there website and use the contact link. Write them asking for a new remote and they will let you know how much a replacment cost.
