Frigidaire Washer Model FAHE4044MWO is leaking from the bottom, what should I check first?

I came home to water under my washing machine. When I looked underneath it appears that the water was coming out from the bottom. All the hoses are dry. No water appears to be running from any of the outlets from the hoses.

Hello Cicl, I appreciate your post!

If you have a water leak from under your Frigidaire washer it could be a possible problem with a faulty water hose, water inlet valve, or drain pump. Either one of those components could be causing a drain within your washer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional technician to get a proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Your leak could be coming from the rubber door seal. Inspect all the way around the rubber seal paying particular attention to the areas behind the rubber seal where it meets the wash tub. They wear with age and can develop small holes. When they start leaking it appears like water coming from under the machine. I hopes this helps.

It might not have totally emptied during the last cycle.  Try laying the hose where the water empties down.  The level of the hose needs to be lower than the water level to be able to drain.  Make sure you have a bucket to empty in to.

MIne did and it was the bleach container on the top that was getting clogged and leaking over, we actually drilled the hole a bit bigger and cleaned it all out and it stopped. I've had to take the whole top of the washer off to do this about 2-3 times now.

You may want to check the seal at the bottom of the agitator, there is a o-ring that keeps the water in the drum from leaking through the agitator as it spins. This is a cheap seal and will wear over a period of time from exposure to bleach and detergent. You need to take the agitator apart and remove it from the drum and you should see this seal at the base of the agitator were it meets the drum.

Replace the seal and reassemble, take the metal casing off the washer and fill the drum with a little water, wait, and see if the water is leaking under the drum. If no leak, try to reassemble and run the washer. If is still leaks then check http://www.applianceaid.com/genew.html

Model #FFLE2022MW0 Frigidaire washer leaking water at bottom

pump housing cracked by coins or wires leaking

or rubber somewhere

if you isolate the water and waste and mains

the lay it over on the side away from the soap drawer

it wont leak
and you can access under it

and investigate where the water is coming from
bet you its the pump plastics cracked ,..
i would do this now dont use it for now
and fix it
this type of error can cost you a controller board ...

you can save lots of time by checking round the door seal of rubber issues inside its folds etc

but i still think its the pump or some rubber hoze loose
see in being one of the intakes or perhaps the drum from drawer rubber ... so

lay it over and check
no chance of fload if you lay it over on the side away from the drawer with the door closed

Water leak from the bottom of washer

Hi friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that water is leaking from the bottom of your Frigidaire washer. There are many components that could cause a washer to leak the bellow (gasket), leak from drain hose, drain pump, or water valve. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend having a technician come out to diagnose and repair your appliance. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Frigidaire gallery series Model GLGH42FS1 stackable washer leaking

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Water Inlet Valve
If the hose connections are good to the water inlet valve check that water is not leaking from the valve itself it is replace the water inlet valve.

Drain Pump
Check the drain pump housing and all hose connections. The drain pump is down under neath. To disassemble your washer follow the appropiate tutorial. Hoses can be tightened. If hoses or pump housing is leaking replace the pump assembly.

Tub Seal
This is in the center of the tub. The seal is inexpensive but will require some labor to install. Check the tutorials on disassembling the cabinet then remove the agitater and inner tub. Enter your model # above for a diagram or illustration.
