You need to stop the print before it is finished to determine the source of the issue. Most likely sources are the black drum or fuser. Please note: as I hope you will stop the passage of paper before it passes the fuser assembly, the toner will not be fixed to the paper and can/will be smeared. Also, visually inspect both drum and fuser for the line. If you do see the line replace that assembly.

SOURCE: My DELL 3010CN is printing a thick black line on

Often Toner sticks to fuser. When the fuser heats the toner comes off onto the paper. Should reduce over time unless toner is spilling onto the fuser in the same place.

Change fuser and toner

Dell 3010cn is of course a Lexmark in crappy Dell shell. But which Lexmark printer is it exactly ?

The 3010CN is Manufactured by Dell, Inc. so no affiliation with Lexmark. I know this because 1, I am in the printer service business and I have a cross reference for just about every printer made. The 3010CN has no cross reference therefor it is Made by Dell. Second the CNET review of this printer states that the Manufacturer is Dell.

It is printing a black line from top to bottom down each page. Is this a drum problem?

this can be a drum issue. if not a drum issue it is a fuser unit problem. just take your drum out and look at it. if you see a scratch like line then yes.

White stripe on right as if black toner needs

You probably got a piece of paper or something in the image path or the paper path. If it is a nice clean line it is more likely to be in the image path, if it is smudgy line it something may be scraping the toner off the paper before it gets to the fuser. Check the paper path.

THERE IS A BLACK LINE THAT RUNS DOWN THE PAPER ON THE LEFT SIDE. COULD IT BE THE DRUM? I HAVE A CHANGE DRUM SOON MESSAGE SHOW UP.

If you look at the old drum, open the shutter, if you see that line on the drum, then it's a bad drum. The line could also come from the fuser roller...

Vertical line on copies

A vertical line on laser copiers which are the same lenght apart on each indicates a dirty or defective toner cartridge or dirty or defective rollers. Take the cartridge out and wipe the rollers with a soft cloth. If the streaks continue then the rollers inside the cartridge or damaged. You will need to replace the toner cartridge.
