My flip wont turn on. I replaced the batteries and it still wont work

Replace the battery.

Try removing the batteries, plugging into your computer, popping the batteries back in, and removing. Wait 5 minutes, and plug back in! This should have an affect!

I found some interesting information about your camera. It turns out that the camcorder will only charge its battery if it detects the physical presence of its rechargeable battery pack. Battery detection depends on two physical components. One is a switch located at the top of the battery compartment, The other is a little plastic tab included with the battery pack

The most common reasons are your batter and power adapter.

Disconnect all cables, flip the laptop, unlock and remove the battery. Reinsert and lock, connect the power adapter and try again.

If still a problem, disconnect all cables, flip the laptop, unlock and remove the battery. Connect the power adapter again. If it works, your battery is faulty and needs replacement. if it doesn't work and there is no light on the adapter, your adapter is probably faulty.

Also, try this: wiggle the power adapter where it connects to the laptop. If the power goes on and off, the power jack is faulty and needs soldering or replacement. Leave that job to an experienced tech.

Mine is doing the same thing.
It did it before and I called tech support.
They said to leave the batteries out for three days then put them back in.
I did that and it started working again.... for 2 months.
That isn't working this time, but maybe it will for you.

Mine still opens on my pc and let's me access the video's on my camera!

are you putting the batteries in right? this has happend to me. take the batteries out and lightely blow in the sockets, to make sure that any dust that is blocking the connection between the battery and the camera is cleared.

There is a reset button! Get a pin and push into the tiny hole at the bottom - inside the tripod screw hole. Push in and hold. The camera will reset. I called the Flip support - they were great !

Have you tried resetting the camera? Hold down the power button and the red button simultaneously until the camera shuts off (takes about 10 seconds). Then, just press the power button again and the camera should turn back on. I had the same problem; when I pressed the red button to stop recording, the camera froze, and the red light remained on. I tried resetting it like this, and it seemed to work.
