Of course, the voltage here in the philippines is 220volts...you must buy a "stepdown Transformer" 220-110V...it is sometimes called "Auto transformer

DO NOT DO IT. The Hz will destroy the morotr. The transofrmer only converts the voltage. You are better off buying a 220V version.

Kitchenaid mixers are not recommended on the use of a converter as they are not tested under such conditions. Understanding this, using a convertor on your mixer may automatically void the 1 year warranty regardless of age.

There are international Kitchenaid dealers available if you are requiring 110V. You may contacted Kitchenaid Customer Service for more information.

Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-541-6390.

Hi. There can be issues with the frequency....the voltage can be remedied by a good Voltage Transformer, but with frequencies-this could post a big problem...I am not an expert but I got information from Jay Dee 2 http://www.fixya.com/support/t10691733-perfectly_safe_use_transformer

Professional 600. What is the specific transformer required to step down 220v to 110v?

Check the wattage on your mixer and buy a step down transformer capable of delivering at least 50% more wattage so it is not struggling under load. If it is capable of even more it won't matter but they get bigger and heavier and cost more the bigger you go.

When traveling to countries with 220 voltage, is there any danger of overheating, or should I use a voltage converter?

You simply can't use any 110V device at 220V, be it a cellphone converter or a food mixer.. Some artifacts have a switch to be used at 110/220 and those, once changed to 220V, can be used.

You need a Step Down Voltage Converter (also called a Voltage Transformer)
which steps down 240, 230, 220 volts to 110 volts and
allows you to use 110 volts Devices from USA in 220 v / 230 v / 240 v Countries

How to convert kitchenaid mixer from 220v to 110v

It's perfectly save to use a power converter from 220v to 110V. The 50Hz Frequenz will let the Motor spin 20% slower. So it'll last forever. I use a KSM90 from the US in Germany for more than 25 years. It runs great and the gears inside it look like new.

Kitchen aid stand mixer bought in US, moving to Europe, 220v 50hz

I can not respond to the warranty issues. My kitchen aid mixer is past warranty as well. I live in a country that uses 220V and my kitchen aid mixer is 110V. I have been using my kitchen aid mixer for almost 4 years with no problems at all.

The converter boxes are supposed to blow the fuse on the converter before it reaches your appliance and cause any problems.

If you purchase a 220V kitchen aid (although it would cost more money) it would probably have more power because of the higher voltage.

Hope this helps!

Kitchen aid 110v 450watt, I want to convert to 220v

Hi guys,

The only available Kitchen Aid stand mixers on the European markets are the Kitchen Aid Classic and the Kitchen Aid Artisan.

The best way is to contact a Kitchen Aid service center / repair facility in your area.
Here is the European website of Kitchen Aid: http://www.kitchenaid.eu/eu_EU/ka/ka_europe.htm

If you bought a different Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer (like the Professional series) you probably won't find the required parts to convert it to a European model. The only way would be to use a voltage converter.

I hope this helps.
