Charge without the key on. Make sure your charger is applying power to the scooter. It may have a blown fuse or some other internal problem. If your batteries were totally discharged your charger will not recharge them. You'll have to charge them individually with an automotive style battery charger that is NOT an automatic charger. It may take 3 days continuous charging to recover enough charge before your scooter charger will continue to charge until the batteries are fully charged. If this doesn't work then the batteries will never take a charge nad need to be replaced.

SOURCE: battery charger wont switch over to charge on a sonic scooter

The Sonic has an off board charger. IF the scooter is not charging, you may need to replace it. If you a technically inclined, you can measure the voltage out of the charger, it should be more than 28 V. You may need to contact Pride for more help.

Sounds like your motor brake is out. Usually the discolor on the brake indicates it has overheated.

SOURCE: electric mobility scooter says charge is full but won't run

This sounds she has tripped her circuit breaker. It works just like the one on your house, when you ask too much of it it suddenly goes 'pop' and seems to be dead.

Looks like you have the same scooter as mine, it should be a little white button on the back of the base. If you follow this link, it will give you a pdf version of the older model pride victory manual, (Mine is a three, they are up to about 10!) See fig. 8 on page 20 and 'Circuit Breaker' on page 21. Also, Page 33 has the troubleshooting info. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: just bought my dad a second hand go go 3 wheel elite scooter

Hi Linda. Sometimes if there is a blown fuse or faulty connector on the battery leads, the charger thinks the batteries are charged as the voltage coming out of the charger rises to the high level. Some chargers will cut out if this happens. It is probably not the charger.
Make sure the batteries are plugged in correctly, sometimes during transport they will get knocked and become disconnected.
Also make sure that the battery terminals are not loose where the wires connect to the batteries.
Good luck. Neil.

Charging your power chair or scooter the correct way can make them last

Whenever you need to charge your power chair or scooter get into the habit of charging overnight. The battery level indicator lights will tell you if your chair or scooter needs charging. Whenever the lights are down into the yellow and especially if they are in the red. If you have the off-board charger, plug the charger into the charger port in the front of your joystick and then plug the charger into the wall socket or turn the on/off switch on and let it charge overnight. When you get up in the morning the charger should have a red light(power) and a green light illuminated (indicating fully charged) Always turn the charger off or unplug it from the wall socket before you unplug it from the chair or scooter. Never have the power on to the charger when you plug or unplug it from your chair or scooter. Whenever you get new batteries always give your batteries a full charge before use and then if you use the chair daily charge it every night. If you do not use your chair or scooter daily charge it at least once a week. Never leave the charger plugged in and on for more than 24 hours. Your batteries should last you 3-4 years if you charge them correctly.

If the batteries needed changing would the green charging light still come on and would the alarm beep when attached to scooter and turned on?

Yup. The alarm beeps if you have the charger plugged in and turn on the key even if the battery is flat. The charger won't bring a totally discharged battery up to full charge. You can charge the battery individually using an automotive style battery charger. The charger should NOT be the automatic type. It may take some time to recover a flat battery. Charge it until you can see at least 10 volts on the battery. The scooter charger can then finish up the charge. If after you go through all this and the batteries will not take a charge, then it's battery time.

Is the only way to charge this tablet by plugging it into a computer?

Depend what model "this tablet" is. Generally tablet chargers have a USB connector at the wall plug end , plugged into the wall charger and a mini usb or proprietary connector at the tablet end. The USB connector can also be plugged into a USB port on a computer or other device. Charging rate will depend on how much current the device can deliver to the USB port, they are not all the same.

Just replaced batteries and unit is operating good since i installed the battteries and i try to put on charger it says it is in the charge inhibit mode that is according to the flashing lights what does...

All that eans is that when you are charging the batteries you are unable to drive the chair. Its a safety feature to ensure that you won't accidently make the chair move with the charger plugged in. Just plug the charger into the charger port turn off the chair and then plug the charger into the wall charge overnight and in the morning unplug the charger from the wall and then from the joystick. Always have the charger off when plugging ang unplugging from the chair. With the M41 charger get a power strip with an on/off switch plug the charger into the strip and use the on/off switch to turn the charger on and off before you plug it into the chair Hope this helps you

I need to know how to charge the batterie om my sisters merits wheelchair,i do not know how to plug it up,,or if the charger is located on the frame someplace or if its freestanding.plain and simple i do...

sking the off board charger is a 5 inch by 3 inch rectangular box with a power plug on one end and a round silver 3 prong plug on the other. The charger plugs into the charger port located under the front of the joystick. Plug the charger plug into the joystick and then into the wall socket. When it is fully charged the light on the chrager will turn from yellow to green. Unplug the power from the wall socket first then unplug from the joystick In ither words always have the charger unplugged when you plug the charger up to the chair Now if the chair has an onboard charger there should be a power cord that just plugs into the chair usually somewhere in the rear of the chair all you have to do is plug it into a wall socket and charge away Hope this helps you

How do I charge my scooter I have lost my instructions

Look in your manual if you lost it then, go to razor.com and request one. But the simple answer is to:
1. Turn off the scooter
2. Plug charger into wall outlet.
3. Find the hole on the side that matches the charger plug(not the wall outlet plug) .
4. Plug the charger into the scooter.
5. Wait until the charger turn off ( if the charger is a smart charger), typical charging time is 4-6hours.

*If not a smart charger you can calculate the charge time by using an online battery charging time calculator.

How do you change battery on scooter x360

You probably have a 24 volt or 36 volt system. For each 12 volts, you will need 1 battery. Thus, you will need 2-3 batteries. The batteries are located between the footrest in the middle. Some have an access panel. If your model does not have that panel, then you have to remove the seat and plastic body, a very time consuming and annoying process. You may even have to remove the steering stem. Pull out the batteries, TAKE SEVERAL PICTURES of the wiring so you can put it back together exactly the same way. The wires have to be in series. If you screw this up, best case it won't charge properly, worst case you can overheat and damage the batteries, even causing them to explode and cause a fire in extreme cases. The old wires may be soldered on. Just snip them off and install new connectors that you can find at walmart, radio shack, or any automotive store. The manufacturer should have left a little extra wire to allow for this. If not, you may have to remove the solder with a soldering gun and reuse the existing connectors, or run new wire. You probably need 12V7AH, 12V8AH, 12V10AH, or 12V12AH SLA batteries(SLA means sealed lead acid, V means Volts, and AH means Amp Hour). It should be stamped on the side of the battery. 10AH and 12AH are the most common. They should cost about $25-$40 each depending on the supplier and size of the battery. The higher the AH, the more expensive the battery. Once you've changed the batteries, charge them completely before using it. FYI: Always fully recharge the batteries after you deplete them. Letting them sit discharged will drastically shorten their life or even ruin brand new batteries. Also recharge the batteries every couple of weeks, even if you aren't using the scooter. They gradually discharge when sitting. If you keep the batteries charged, you should expect about 1.5 - 2 years out of them for average use. Hope this helps. www.solanocycle.com
