these motors have two carrier pulleys and oone tensioner. lookinjg at the motor from the rightside of car the belt goes as follaws: crank pully to super charger from the left. the right side goes up to the lower carrier which will have the flat of the belt riding on it. from there the belt routes to the upper carrier
[ loop it over so the grooves ride

How to put serpitine belt back with out connecting ac
If you are trying to bypass the AC pump or you are installing the belt on a non AC equipped model you will need to get the correct belt for the models equipped without AC (it will be shorter in length)

Belt broke on 2000 chrylser convertible ac compressor froze i need diagram to show how to bypass it
I don't think you can bypass the compressor.
Chrysler would have to build a model without ac and as far as I know they all have ac.
When they do have an engine without ac they usually have an idler pulley to take the place of the compressor.
Re-routing the belt runs the risk of turning the alternator or water pump in the wrong direction.

Can i disengage the ac compressor on my pontiac monatna
you can disengage it by not turning the AC on in the vehicle. the AC is engage by the clutch once you turn the AC on in the vehicle. as far as removing the belt from the AC, you can only do that if there is only one belt going to the AC. If you have 1 continous serpentine belt, then no. unless you go to an auto parts store and get a new serpentine belt, but tell them there is no AC on the vehicle.

Replaced drive belt on 2000 pontiac montana.The belt is now smoking and slinging burnt rubber.Used diagram for this installation so Im positive its put on correctly.
start by checking to see if ALL the pullys spin freely. sounds like the bearing are shot in one of them or ac compressor is siezed

Most likely lifters but other items that can do that are rocker arms, and piston slap.

Autozone has that info on their computer, I think you can go to their website and even get the belt pattern.
