Your Manual should have a description of the Error, if not put your Model Number and Error E-1 in a google search and see what comes up.

SOURCE: We are replacing the control

F2-E1 - Touch Pad (Keypad) Cable Unplugged -
Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.
Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds.
If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

It appears your timer/clock has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.!!!!!

SOURCE: we are replacing a control panel for our Whirlpool double oven

you don't need a "professional" to solve this problem or even to order any parts. E1 -F2- = the keytail (connector ribbon) that plugs into the control board is not making good contact. first unplug your range and then remove the two screws on the underside of the back-splash controls panel to access the back of the control board. now simply cut a slip of heavy paper such as a business card to the width of the ribbon and slide it into the slot along with the ribbon connector. that will help press the contacts on the other side together snuggly. screw the back-splash back in place, plug in your range, and the problem will vanish. if the error ever returns, try pulling out the connector, cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser (see - http://www.fixyourboard.com/techzone/ovens/keypad_tail_clean/keypad_tail_clean.html - for illustration), reinserting it into the slot and repeat above with the paper. good luck.

What does E1 mean

E1 flashing means that the product's firmware/software needs to be flashed or repaired again in order to function properly, this generally occurs due to inadequate voltage supply or sudden power failure of the Oven.

I have Whirlpool double oven, model number gbd307pdb7, that after the self clean on the top oven quit working. The original message on the key pas was locked, then it said hot and lastly it had the error...

this most likely happened from when you self cleaned the oven, the oven gets up to 1000 degrees and can damage the electronics on the oven.i will never use this feature for this reason,i use easy off,but the f2 e1 error says it's a bad key panel or the touch pad that you push to control the oven.do you see upper and lower off?if you want to cancel the upper oven you press upper off,you can try to unplug the oven for like 10 minutes and see if it resets it or kill the power, pull the oven out enough to remove the top panel, unplug the ribbon and plug it back in and see if it resets, that code means the board can't read the touch panel,if you press the upper off and it clears and then returns the touch pad is bad part WP8300440 go here go to control panel

The oven does not work it says turn off when i turn it on and flashes F1 and E1 codes

Hello,

The E1-F1 error code means per the service manual "safety flip flop" what that means that a internal component of the control board has failed and thusly the control board would need to be replaced

Kitchen aid superba f2:e1 problem, how do you fix it?

This is not exactly a solution, but it does explain what F2:E1 means. According to this page, it is a control panel malfunction. It may be caused by a shorted wire, but it may just be the control panel malfunctioning on its own.

Oven doesn't work, stove does

If it's a Whirlpool or Kenmore oven (or one of several other brands that are made by Whirlpool) then this error code means:

F1 - E1 Safety flip flop Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)

The system believes that the control board has failed and needs to be replaced.

This page has a list of diagnostic codes by brand and model number. You should check there to look up your particular brand to confirm what I just said.
