I have a singer 9410 - and the plastic part that the bobbin thread fits into (part no. 14) has come loose from the machine. I am not all that mechanical unfortunately haha. When I try to re-insert it it seems loose and it does not stitch correctly. I think I did not put it in right. Seems like some of it must go under the metal plate but I am not sure which part or how to put it in correctly. This must sound retarded. But please help. Thanks!
I had the same problem and after looking on here and finding no answer I went back to my machine and found out what the problem was...ok, where the bobbin case sets in,the metal plate beside it needs to be fitted right close to the bobbin case, so loosen the screws(just two of them) that are in the plate(DO NOT REMOVE JUST LOOSEN) and slide the metal plate over some just enough to fit snug...NOT TOO TIGHT... if its seems to sew too tight loosen it a bit It worked for me, GOOD LUCK
I think I know where the loose bobbin case problem in the 9410 comes from. Looking down at the bobbin case, at about 4 o'clock, is a little metal loop on the plate it sits against (you may need a flashlight to see it). This loop on the plate engages a spur on the case. If the loop is not adjusted properly, and does not engage the spur, the case jumps out. The loop is controlled by the first screw to the right of it. That said, I am not sure what the proper adjustment is. I have been loosening the screw, resetting the loop in different ways, and playing with the settings. It seems to work now.

For those who are having problems with the bobbin thread bunching and looping who have checked that all the parts are in place and that the tension is set correctly be sure that you have the correct type of bobbin. There are two types of Singer bobbins that look very similar, however, one is slightly taller than the other. The 9410 uses the shorter bobbin (I think it is the class 66) and if you use the taller one the bobbin will not be able to function correctly which will cause tension problems.
I have the same problem. I took my machine to a sewing repair place and they think that there is a problem with the part. it should sit snug, and it seems to have come loose. if it is loose, it will not work properly and excess fabric will collect beneath the plastic plate. i am trying to contact singer directly, but haven't been able to get through yet.

Update: Today I took my machine in to get serviced - they replaced the metal bobbin I was using with a plastic one, that was a little less rattley inside the bobbin case, replaced the needle with a new, universal one, and changed out the thread with something a little higher quality. They also adjusted the spring holding the bobbin case slightly, and now it seems to work fine. I'm not sure how long it will last, but for now I'm good.

I still seem to be having problem in putting the bobbin case in place. It seems like it's in place but after sewing for a 20 seconds, you start hearing the clicking noise meaning it has come loose again. I can't seem to keep it in place for any length of time not sure what I am doing wrong.

My machine(model #9410) is threaded correctly but when I sew the bottom thread is bunched up(mostly large loop like thread).The bobbin is threaded ok
and my manual doesn't cover this,

I have the same problem with my bobbin casing; part #14 to a Singer #9410 sewing machine. It rattled, was very loose, only sewing a few stitches before the machine would lock up.
I took out the needle, the presser foot & plate, removed the feed dog so I could get to the bobbin casing to examine it. Upon closer examination I've discovered a worn, broken edge on it that was not visible until I took it out of the machine. I've come to the conclusion that part #14 will have to be replaced for the machine to sew correctly again.
Now I have another problem. I dropped the tiny screw to the feed dog down into the machine. Any suggestions on how I can successfully get that out?
Are there special tools available for these screws because it's in such a tight area?

Starts skipping stiches from .5 to 1 inch, bobbin case starts rattling and bobbin case actually comes out. Singer Model 9410. We spray lint away, change thread, sometimes works but eventually fails again.
I also have singer 9410 and it seems i am unable to the bobbin in the bottom the thread just spins
