If you really have a 'black dust' issue, your machine would be at least 7 years old - if it is less than 10 years, the parts would be under warranty, assuming you bought it new. One or both rollers and the walking belt would need to be replaced. You were advised to call Precor - did you? I am surprised the retailer did not offer any help - this seems like poor customer service.

Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

SOURCE: err22 showing.How can I start?

The speed sensor is a hall effect sensor that emits a pulse when a flywheel lobe passes between
its transmitter and receiver. The speed control circuit processes the pulse train emitted by the
speed sensor. The speed sensor signal is a real time representation of the operating speed of
the treadmill. The speed control circuit compares the real time speed (speed sensor output) with
the speed that it expects the treadmill to be operating at and acts accordingly to control treadmill
speed or initiate an error code sequence, if necessary. Typically, if a problem exists with the
speed sensor the drive motor will operate (perhaps only briefly) before a speed related error
occurs (errors 20-26).
1. Set the treadmill circuit breaker in the “on” position. Using a DC voltmeter, measure
the voltage between terminal 3 of J2 (green wire) and terminal 4 of J2 (black wire) on
the lower PCA. Slowly, rotate the drive motor flywheel. The voltage should read
approximately 5 Vdc when a flywheel lobe is between the speed sensor “legs” and
approximately 0.25 Vdc when a flywheel lobe is not between the speed sensor “legs”

2. If the voltages in step 1 are correct, go to step 5. If the voltage in step 1 is 0 Vdc or
significantly low when a flywheel lobe is between the speed sensor “legs, continue with step
3.
3. Measure the voltage between terminal 1 of J2 (red wire) and terminal 4 of J2 (black wire) on
the lower PCA. The voltage should read approximately 5 Vdc.

Speed
Sensor C954, C956 Treadmill

4. If the voltage is missing or significantly low, disconnect the speed sensor plug from the lower
PCA. Measure the voltage between pins 1 & 4 of the J2 plug on the lower PCA. If the
voltage is approximately 5 Vdc, replace the speed sensor. If the voltage is missing or
significantly low, replace the lower PCA.
5. At this point the speed sensor output is good, but a speed error occurs. There are two
potential causes for this condition. They are upper PCA or lower PCA. There are no good
means of troubleshooting these components other than substituting known good
components. Replace only one component at a time. If the component that you replaced
does not correct the problem, replace the original component. Try substituting the lower
PCA first then the upper PCA, if necessary.

In looking at the parts list for the Precor 9.20s on fitnessrepairparts.com it looks the rear roller for the machine is currently available although it is not cheap. Doesn't look like treadmilldoctor.com has one.

SOURCE: Where can I find a Precor 9.21 treadmill motor cover?

Do you know which version of the Precor 9.21 you have? There are a few different versions you can view here. Click on your version to view the parts list and look for "Cover, Motor" or "Motor Cover".

For instance, if you have the 9.21 (AYYZ), the proper motor cover is this part #5019749

However, this part #5005569 is listed as the proper motor cover for the 9.21 (F5), 9.21i (2X), 9.21s (F6), 9.21si (2Y), and a couple others. Make sure you have matched up your exact model number with the motor cover you need so do you not order the wrong part.

Walking belt not properly aligned

There are two holes on each side of the back covers of the treadmill. They have the adjustment bolts in them for the rear roller and It will require an Allen wrench to adjust it. If you tighten one of the bolts it causes the belt to move away from that side. So if it's the left side of the belt that's moving close to the rail then tighten the left side and vise versa for right. Turn the unit on and set the speed to about 3. Tighten the side that the belt closer to the side rail about a quarter turn. Be patient and give it a minute to settle after you adjust it. Repeat until the belt has moved back to center. If it moves too far just back it off a bit.

My precor 9.35 just stopped while i was walking on it. fan on motor runs but i don't think the motor is running. I have a replacement motor but not sure if that is it. where can I get a service manuel?

Do you have the steel rear roller upgrade yet? 9.35 treadmill have a disease called black dust. If you have not had the roller upgraded, belt changed, and lower PCA changed, then thats your problem. Call Precor Customer support. Does the unit come on? If it works as normal and the motor just does not work, replace DATA cable from Upper Pca to Lower PCA. Then replace the Upper PCA if the cable swap does not work. I am a Precor Tech.

My Precor 9.35 treadmill keeps shutting off. At first I thought this was due to use or it getting overheated. But, today I turned it on several times and it would shut off as I was walking on it. The...

Is it on an extension cord? Take it off any extension cords and make sure it's on a dedicated 120v circuit. No other items on the circuit. Also, how old is it? Precor made a bunch of the 9.3x series from 2002-2005 with an aluminum tail roller that can cause problems. Check the back roller. Is is silver and non-magnetic? if that's the case, you have an aluminum roller and you need to contact precor. If you're the original owner of the machine, they should warranty the replacement of the parts, if not, you'll have to buy at the very least a running belt and new roller.

Back dust coming from drum

This is telling you that the running deck which has a black phenolic surface is literal being sanded off the particle board you will need to have both belt and deck replaced, because like doing a brake job you don't replace the pads without turning the rotors that if you want it to last longer and be safer.

My Canon Powershot SD880 is emitting smoke.

This appears to be a common problem with Canon SD series cameras and especially common with the SD880. Canon must be aware of the problem, and since they have not recalled the cameras they must think it is not a fire/injury hazard. Distribution of the SD880 was suddenly stopped despite excellent reviews. If enough of us tell Canon we want these cameras fixed or replaced, even if they are out of warranty, maybe they will FixUs!
