No monitor display of ASUS 1005P. what is the possible problem?

check power output of the ac adapter with a DVM to insure you see 12 volts DC.

Check that the receptacle on the eee pc is not broken.

Do you have a System Repair Disk, if not, try getting a system repair disk from a computer Dealer for your laptop.

Does the battery indicator on the laptop light up when the charger is plugged in? I have had a few laptops where the chargers had the light on but they weren't actually charging the laptops. Drop me an email with more info or reply on here and I will try my best to help.

Here are a few possible problems with your monitor
1, Backlight gone bad
2. Power Supply gone bad
3. Wrong display resolution
Given that your monitor is only 14 months old, I would lean toward
either a bad capacitor in the power supply or the screen resolution
needs to be changed (boot up in safe mode and change the resolution)
The power supply problem would require some dis-assembly and working with high voltage.Not for the faint of heart..

Can you please provide me with what steps you have takes, suggest including the following.

Is the Battery in the unit -
Is the unit plunged into the wall -
Does the screen power on -
What is displayed on the screen -

First check display (Monitor LCD, Cables ect) and make sure that they are working.
Next check RAM and replace them if possible. Most of the times display issue with Asus is because of RAM.
